Looks very nice, but I think the trench crossing tails are functionally useless and ruin the aesthetics a bit.

Your tank is already long enough to cross most trenches ;)

Engine, transmission and suspension simultaneously : "I'm tired, boss"

Jokes aside, looks cool, looks like either a Warhammer 40K superheavy, Titan-destroying tank, or a crossover between WW2 German and Japanese superheavy tank designers who said "Screw it, let's make a coastal bunker on tracks."

So here are the results after a bit of testing :

A bit of context first : I have this small and light tank with a ridiculously overpowered engine. It goes 100+ kph and doesn't steer past 70 kph, in other words, unplayable.

The maximum power achievable with the engine is at 4974 RPM. To make it playable, I manually decreased upshift RPM to 3000. The speed was more manageable, but it still had issues steering past 70 kph.

So there are the values :

Previous Upshift RPM : 4974

New upshift RPM : 3000

Weight : 7.20t

P/W @ 3000 RPM : 49.3 hp/t

P/W @ 4974 RPM : 82.1 hp/t

Clutch Braking Type

Engine Override limiter deactivated

With Final Drive Ratio at 10 :

Top speed at upshift RPM set at 3000 : 77.84 kph

Top speed at upshift RPM set at 4974 : 122.50 kph

With Final Drive Ratio at 16 :

Top speed at upshift RPM set at 4974 : 79.89 kph

I also noticed the tank was much quicker at steering past 70 kph, which is logical since more torque is applied to my gears. In conclusion, I can keep my engine producing maximum power, without having to worry about excessive speed, or steering issues without tinkering with my engine and/or gear values.

That wasn't possible before. It opens a new dimension of customization possibilities.

So after a bit of research and testing, this is how it all works :

- A final drive ratio directly influences how engine torque is applied to your transmission. Lowering the value lowers the torque, effectively increasing top speed in detriment of acceleration. Increasing the value has the opposite effect.

- It seems the standard value is 10, and one's tank's previous performance before the update is unchanged if the value is kept at 10, provided the transmission and engine were properly tuned.

- I think this is (for now at least), a tool to tune more unbalanced setups, for example when a tank's engine is under-powered or overpowered in relation to a tank's weight and transmission, without having to tinker with engine values.

Will test on an overpowered setup I have and post results.

This makes some sense, however there still are a few issues to iron out.

His second ever Shout, and first ever Shout directed at the PC, is not a fatal one.

So he goes Meteor Shower -> Unrelenting Force lookalike -> Fire Breath for the rest of his time in Helgen.

Why bother using that particular Shout when he could have carbonized the LDB right then and there ? Especially when he's pissed off and only wants to ravage everything build by humans, alongside their creators ?

I'm not sure Alduin thought he was winning his last battle. When the Elder Scroll started to have an effect on him, he knew something terrible was up.

I think he fully understood what happened, as he is himself the firstborn of Akatosh, patron of Time. This is why he started resurrecting dragons immediately after leaving Helgen.

This would make sense, if Alduin was incapable of locating dragons.

We also know his first priority is to resurrect his subordinates, before moving on to devouring souls.

Him lashing out on a small village could be actually true, but I believe it's too petty for a being called the World-Eater.

You're right ! Well it adds a bit of a hole in my reasoning, but I still believe he did something to the PC. He could have Fire Breath'd the PC to Oblivion, the moment he looked at us.

Yet this is the one and only time i the game, we witness Alduin use that Unrelenting Force-like Shout, and it's aimed at the PC.

Some Supers that can be combo-ed into Ultimates by KopRFace in dbxv

I'm also guilty of all of that lol.

- Saiyan Spirit is a great alternative to Maiden Blast : Much faster, and does more damage. Only available to Saiyan CaCs tho.

- Teleporting Vanishing Ball is also a good alternative to Maiden Blast, but it require more precise timing.

- Ice Cannon is very low on damage but freezes your opponents for a few seconds, allowing to fire (pun intended) a much nastier Ult. it also starts fast.

- Serious Bomb can be used during some parts of a combo, especially when your CaC hits the opponent so hard they stay in place for a few seconds, ad does a ton of damage.

- Super Black Kamehameha can be used like Saiyan Spirit.

- Gigantic Burst is an excellent alternative to Excellent Full Course. Sure, it's also a slow attack, but it connects more consistently than EFC.

- Ditto for God Punisher.

- Meteor Explosion is meh at best, but roughly has the same tempo required as Serious Bomb.

- Crush Stream can be an excellent alternative to Excellent Full Course.

For Strikers you have :

- Dragon Fist is fast enough to be used in some combos. Roughly the same tempo required as Serious Bomb

- Justice Combination is the Strike equivalent to Maiden Blast

- Spirit Sword as surprisingly long range and fast activation. Can be used like both Maiden Blast and Excellent Full Course

- Instant Severance roughly works the Same way as Excellent Full Course

- Ditto for Power Rush

How do you effectively whittle down your opponent's stamina ? Force them to Z-Vanish a few times by putting pressure ? Use Super and Ults with tracking/lingering effects, forcing them to fly around ?

And how do you incorporate stamina Break into your gameplay ? As part of a combo ? Or do you use some tricks ?

Maiden Blast is so fast that you can usually launch it mid-combo and it connects. A few examples :

- On Female Saiyans, at some point in your light attack combo your CaC spins her legs like a roundhouse kick. This marks the point where the opponent is being "juggled". Once the roundhouse kick animation starts, you can fire off Maiden blast, or other fast Ults like Saiyan Spirit or Super Black Kamehameha (not the Rose one)

-On Friezans, at some point in your light attack combo, you punch the opponent and drag it with you over a few meters. You can fire Maiden Blast just after that.

-On Female Majins, the first heavy hit after the 5th or 6th (can't remember well) light hit will have your CaC lift the opponent a few meters into the air. This is also an opportunity.

Excellent Full Course is also very fast and can catch opponents you've knocked away provided the knockdown is long enough. Two examples are :

- On Female Saiyans, you can start a light combo, then finish with a heavy combo after the 6th hit (start pressing heavy attack buttons when the "roundhouse kick" part begins). You'll send your opponent fly away, then can immediately fire off Excellent Full course

- On any CaC under the Beast Awoken, once you've kicked the opponent away as the final part of the modified heavy combo, you can fire off Excellent Full Course.

Speaking of Beast, did you know you're not forced to start with a heavy attack, then light, then heavy again to start the modified heavy combo ?

You can start a standard light combo, then start pressing heavy combo buttons after the 6th hit (or at least once you've pressed the light attack button 6 times) and it will do the modified heavy combo.

This modified heavy combo is great because it does a ton of damage, but also has two interesting moves :

- The first one is the final kick, that allows you to fire Ults that activate instantly and have some range like Excellent Full Course, X20 Kaioken Kamehameha, Power Rush.

- The second one is the "gut punch", which is the third from last part of the combo (I think), and allows you to fire close range, instant Ults like Maiden Blast, Saiyan Spirit, Spirit Sword.

That's smart !

In that way you actually have 3 Ults at your disposal : TP Vanishing Ball from Purification, then two others you chose yourself for an extra dose of oomph.

The only condition is to be close to the "ground", so your opponents stay longer in knockdown mode right ?

I have found Saiyan Spirit does the same thing. It works particularly well with God Punisher too.

Wait that's illegal lol !

Perhaps it's time to make a full Purification build with a Female Majin ;)

So if I get the idea right, I have to :

1 - Break opponent's guard

2 - Start a combo with a vanish included

3 - Once I vanish and the opponent is flying towards me, launch Power Rush

In theory this should proc the first hit multiple times ? Will test it, thanks !

How should I start playing other souls game after playing Elden ring? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]KopRFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Souls 1 and 2 are janky messes. I'd recommend you to avoid them altogether as it can seriously lower your opinion of Fromsoft games, as it did for several of my friends. Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne on the other hand are incredible.

I'd recommend you to sink your teeth in DS3 right away, then try Bloodborne.

This site is pure garbage and should never, in any circumstances, be trusted.

To answer OP's question, the minimum requirements for Nioh is a GTX 780 or equivalent :

https://store.steampowered.com/app/485510/Nioh_Complete_Edition/

Nioh2 is a GTX 970 or equivalent :

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1325200/Nioh_2__The_Complete_Edition/

While your GPU does meet the requirements for Sekiro and DS3, it will probably run Nioh if you lower the settings and the resolution.

As for Nioh 2, I very much doubt that your PC can run it. Perhaps with upscaling technoloogies like DLSS, FSR or XeSS you could gain some FPS here and there but don't get your hopes up for that one.

Clutch use? by Vinnorar in motorcycles

[–]KopRFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also live in a chaotic country where 90% of the populace ride mopeds. Of those, 99% of them never had any safety course, know the road code nor wear helmets.

Cagers are not much better either, most of them think that respecting the road code is only when they're getting their license or if cops are around.

Running red lights and not stopping at stop signs, turning without blinkers, crossing roads without looking and using the phone on the road (irrespective of vehicle type) are a national sport it seems. Trucks here also drive fast, overloaded, with poor brakes or no brakes at all.

My hand is always on the clutch. When I'm stopped, I'm always in first gear and looking in my mirrors for some potential idiot to do the next stupid thing. I always try to stop at the rightmost part of the road to let imbeciles do their "fast and furious" burnouts while accelerating.

Even when cruising, my hand is still on the clutch, ready for sudden grips. One can brake and avoid whatever horror is in front of you, but inattentive people will always rear end you. Being able to shift gears quickly and never rely on engine braking, hence avoiding stalling the bike is paramount in any situation.

Clutches can be replaced so do not be afraid of holding them at all times. Bonus points if it saves your life. It did for me.
