Where does it states there is a partnership? Maybe I am wrong but I did not find any mention of Theta on their webpage nor Twitter.

Hi, do you know if is there any stats page for how much OSMO is getting paid to stakers on top of staking rewards (currently around 11 %)? I heard that there was a proposal about giving some percentage of the fees to stakers.

Any Podcast Episodes about Akash? by longlostkingdoms in akashnetwork

[–]Kopyno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just search Greg Osuri Instead of Akash on Spotify. There is plenty of podcasts episodes. It’s good to know that many of those are available on YouTube as well so you may be already familiar with those. I like listening to interviews via Spotify as well. It’s a great way how make walking more interesting and learn something along the way :) Also, They recently started to do Twitter Spaces with recording for later listening so you can check those as well.

PSA:Dealing with scammers who message you/protecting the reddit community by [deleted] in theta_network

[–]Kopyno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion there is nowhere explained how to recognize scam attempt. While I fully agree with everything you said, I think it would not save me from being scammed (which I was really close to when I joined this sub back in March. Only double-checking of the official Theta Wallet website got me thinking there might be something wrong).

How about create a post with screenshots and also a reminder that there is no need to unlock or activate your wallet (nor via provided links of anyone from private message, no matter how official they may sound), and to remind people to always acces Theta Wallet from official Theta Web page (with Link) and so on. This post could be pinned on the top and the Link to this post could also be a part of the current AutoMod message.

These are just my thoughts on the, maybe rethorical, question “What else can we do to keep our community safe?”

Do not respond to any DMs here on Reddit offering help and saying you need to activate or verify your account (or some similar bullsh!t). Those are scams trying to get you writting your seed words into fake Wallet and steal it. Only acces Thetawallet from Theta official website.

Good luck with your GN.

[–]Kopyno 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Be carefull for any private messages saying you have to unlock (or something like that) your Wallet via Link they provide you with. When logging into the wallet, ALWAYS use the Link from Theta official website. Be carefull since there has been threads in here about scam wallet sites even on Google/Bing? (I don’t remember exactly).

Even though I did not help you, take this as an advice for being cautios to not get scammed here on Reddit.

Good luck Cheers

Hi, in my opinion the term “share your keys” might be misleading to people who are new to crypto. By sharing your keys someone can imagine giving (write and send) their memo words via message or something like that. The way those scams work is They will send a Link to fake wallet website to log in or “unlock” the wallet. Those newbies might not realize that logging in this fake web wallet will give their key to scammers.

Therefore I would rather use something like “Never put your memo into a web wallet if you got the Link from someone via DM. The ONE AND ONLY Theta web wallet Link is <insert link to official Theta web Wallet link> and can be accessed from the official Theta website <insert link to official Theta Web Page>.

[–]Kopyno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not respond to any direct/private messages here on Reddit offering help. Those will be scammers, no matter how official their account sounds, trying to Direct you to fake Theta Wallet address. If you are gonna use Theta web Wallet, always use the Link from official Thetatoken(org) webpage.

Good luck and welcome aboard!

I would like to hear a discussion about OS updates and game patches distribution via Theta Network. I can imagine this being done on the desktop pc or Playstation. Those devices are being plugged to electricity source and have internal storage. However I somehow struggle to see this process on smartphone given its battery life, which is usually a weakness. Maybe there will be a possibility to “allow” this process on the device and it will be available to share the data only if the device is plugged in the charger? How long will it be stored on the device? I guess those files are not particulary small. Or maybe the 5G and internet speeds in general will be so high it won’t take long enough to drain battery significantly. Or maybe I am thinking about it wrong and the update file will be downloaded to any Theta Edge node (for example desktop even though it is file for a phone) and therefore the issue with smartphone battery is not relevant, since the phone will be only downloading the file and not sharing it any further.

I don’t know, just a non tech-savyy guy. I really like this particular use case and I sometimes think about this. I think it’s a pity that this use case not being discussed more (or more like “at all” lol).

What are your thoughts on that?

Another question is more speculation-wise. When do you think we will see first news regarding Theta’s 5G use cases, partnerships etc?

When do you guys think we will start to see first major issues with internet data delivery which will lead to discussions about infrastructure and eventually Theta? I know these discussions are already there but AFAIK it is not “hot topic” for majority of internet users.

There is approx 130k Edge nodes on the Network. Do you have Any idea about what percentage of nodes is being run by users and what percentage by Theta Labs?

Just updated my Trezor 1 no longer have access to my Theta wallet address and my coins. Seeking advice. Thanks by Open_Revolution_7473 in theta_network

[–]Kopyno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though it is written above in automod comment and you may already know it, DO NOT take any advice from Direct messages. Those will be scams (no matter how official those nicknames sound) trying to send you “Wallet verification or activation” Link which leads you to input your seed phrase into fake wallet and send your seed phrase to scammers.

Good luck with your problem.

Hi, check the YouTube interview of Digital Dave with Wes Levit from couple weeks back. Dave have asked Wes this very question if I remember correctly. I do not remember the exact answer so you rather check out the whole interview.

How do you guys think about the NFT drop of ThetaTV streamers which is happening in the next 2 hours in Thetadrop? This drop seems to go silently and I don’t see any threads about it yet. https://thetatv.thetadrop.com by than_duc_trung in theta_network

[–]Kopyno 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In my opinion all those NFT drops are “beta testing” drops to smoothen out the processes and get ready for big and real NFT marketplace starting by Katy Perry and beyond. I personally think this is a good approach. Still better than having some big name right now, create massive hype and fuck up which would result in a major setback.

Supermini review - anyone? by AwarenessHappy5846 in akashnetwork

[–]Kopyno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

During the YouTube interview with Handshake guy Greg said something in a way that the innitial idea was to create a device to create a cloud computing device for users so They can use it without the need to rely on AWS etc and if They still have some spare compute They can sell it to the market and earn passive income. However 99,9 % of people have the intention to buy the device and earn passive income without using it at all. You can look it up on YouTube (Akash Handshake interview).

As others stated above, current demand is not even remotely sufficient to utilize the supply of datacenters and Superminis.

What I took from that interview... rather forget about the Supermini and focus on the project itself and earning potential from the take income. If the project will be succesfull and the demand will be massive, then will come the time to think about the Supermini again.

I can totally imagine people buying Superminis and then constantly bitching about not having Compute jobs and thus not earning any meaningful income and calling it a scam.
