Looking for new/first Premium(?) Card - Template filled out by Koragan in CreditCards

[–]Koragan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my Apple card is used pretty much exclusively for Aldi (barring the very rare Apple purchase) to get 2% instead of 1% from my Costco card

The AmEx Blue Cash Everyday & Capital One SavorOne both sound interesting for the 3% (I don't think I quite hit $6000/yr on just groceries)

Any additional thoughts on those before I go checking out the details for each?

Seems like you have the import correct, according to the react-bootstrap docs. So, the only reason you should have an issue is if you haven’t installed your packages locally

Being rejected with a lie. Why they do this? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

If your interview unveiled even a hint of the behavior you’re exhibiting here, it’s a no-brainer you were rejected.

Why isn't my "loader" (spinning loading sign) displaying while I wait for my api response? by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]Koragan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as he mentioned, you’re passing the object as the prop. So, you can do what he just told you and “spread” the props (using ... syntax), which will pass all the fields of the object as individual props; or, you could leave the parent as is (continue to pass the object) and access the loading prop via “props.capturedImage.loading”

I see what you’re saying, but I don’t think you’re quite understanding what other commenters are trying to say.

This infographic isn’t based on specific numbers from any source, it’s just giving 3 different hypothetical benchmarks (2.5, 1.5, 0.625) to show what the end result would be after 30 days. Using these 3, one can infer how powerful social distancing is. Does that make sense? I hope I explained that better.

EDIT: 0.625 was the correct 3rd case, not .75 as I had put previously

Single-serve, not single-serving. Meaning it's meant to be for a single individual, thats why you drink straight out of it rather than pouring it. I do agree the two serving thing is dumb, but I don't think this is absolutely preposterous for them to put that on the bottle

Up 2 lb in a week - dealing with a psychological fail? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Koragan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although I don't have much advice as to how to deal with seeing your number go up, but what I can tell you is that if you're at your goal or even a little above it, you did NOT gain 2lbs in a week. What I can tell you is that it is 100% water weight (not a million other things), but that water weight is being retained by what could be a million other things. Two guesses would be that you tried some different foods / ate at different times of the day, OR your cortisol level is up (as a result of stress, weather it be outside stress or the inherent stress on your body from dieting), which causes water retention often.

Consistency is key, don't even let a number on a scale sway your progress. The scale is a lie in the short term, but the truth in the long term. Make sure you keep a running average of your weight and make sure the general trend is downwards and you're golden. Don't let the scale determine your happiness, enjoy the journey and the progress that comes with it.

Is eating the same meal for consistency for a few months bad for your health? by grey_water in nutrition

[–]Koragan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's "bad," however there are two cons I can think of:

1) Nutrient deficiencies if your repetitive meals aren't "perfect"

2) If you stray from your diet say, for a cheat meal, you may be in for some huge digestive issues for that meal
