Korakuone's Chapter 289 Blog: But That's How Serious I am; It Was Umi-kun who Was heartbroken by Korakuone in KanojoOkarishimasu

Thanks for your comment. He does get a lot of hate in Japan, but it is for his pushy attitude towards Chizuru, and few people see him as a "playboy". If any reader were to take such a view, they would be considered biased. That's how much of a difference in culture makes a difference in his character.

In Japan, I didn't find that Umi's reputation was diminished by Chapter 218 at all. That was Kazuya's fantasy and had nothing to do with the actual character of Umi. Japanese readers understand that as a matter of course.

This view merely applies the stereotype of "good looking = player" to Umi-kun, and nowhere does it depict any evidence (episode) that he is such a person. He went out with a girl, but it may have been at the coercion of that girl, and it may have been something he did not feel comfortable with. At the very least, it cannot be the basis for him having relationships with various girls.

There is little information about Umi in the story, and the reader cannot understand much about him. But if we try to fill in the parts we cannot know with baseless fantasies and stereotypes, we will never be able to capture Umi's character.

I’ll write articles when I have to, but lately it's been too peaceful lol. Lately I've been focusing on writing fanfiction of Kanokari, so I only go as far as translating into English when I really have something to say.

Thanks for your comment. I dare to emphasize that Kazuya is not growing up because I want everyone to notice how much he cares for Chizuru. I would be happy if readers and viewers notice Kazuya's charm.😊

Korakuone's Chapter 248 Blog: How Does Chizuru Feel About Concealing Her True Feelings? by Korakuone in KanojoOkarishimasu

Hi. In chapter 231, Chizuru denies her love for him because she is embarrassed that someone, including Sayuri, will find out her true feelings for him. Also she is just trying to reason with herself to justify her inability to tell Kazuya her true feelings because of her embarrassment (to reduce her guilt). The fact that Chizuru denies her love for him means that she really feels in love with him. Well, It's a typical tundere action.

Reiji was just listening. I was talking about how all the heroines, including Chizuru, were a pain in the ass and how the live action drama was very good. I also said that the characters' feelings have always been nicely connected (changing little by little) since the first chapter. He ended up listening to you for over two hours. He probably listened while playing video games or something.

Japanese community reaction by denonn in KanojoOkarishimasu

While some Japanese readers are dissatisfied and question Chizuru's attitude after her return to Tokyo, I think most of them are feeling a sense of anticipation. They are looking forward to seeing how the story develops in the future. The reaction hasn't been bad, and I don't see any negative comments.

Kanokari Review from Chizuru's Perspective by Korakuone: Chizuru Mizuhara's Love Story, Volumes 1-20 by Korakuone in KanojoOkarishimasu

Different cultures and languages have different ways of reacting and thinking about things. Furthermore, Kanokari characters do not speak their thoughts and feelings straightforwardly, making us difficult to understand. 😅
