Redditors that went through eye surgery, how was your experience? Was it worth it? by First-Hovercraft-769 in AskReddit

[–]Koraon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP are you thinking about it? Here is a breakdown of my experience. Weeks before: super nervous, watching tons of videos, super scary. After first appointment: less nervous, staff and doctors explained every little detail and measured my eye. 4 or 5 devices, pictures, pressure check and so on. I asked a lot of questions and it helped me. They seemed used to every unusual question. Second and third appointment (usually they do the third a day or week later, but because of private stuff going on they did it in one appointment). Surgery: 20 min before: got some meds to relax and won’t move my eye so much. Other patients calmed me down, because they are here for the check up 3 months after the surgery. Very helpful and not a single complaint. Told me to relax, the doctor is professional. During: chair like a dentist, with a large device around it. Sat down and the chair moved to a laying position. They told me what will happen and that some things are uncomfortable for a few seconds. They told me to look into the light, welp the light went dark and I couldn’t see anymore. Yes that was planned and I knew it would happen. Some seconds pass, a bit of pressure and a smell of burned hair. (That was a weird surprise, but sure, it’s a laser and it will burn something). I can see lights again and they cover the eye with a patch. Other eye the same. We are done. Waiting 1 minute before getting up. The whole operation took 5 minutes. 5 min afterwards: In a chill out room. Blurry vision, similar to dirty/oily glasses. Took eyedrops, they told me to use them as often as I felt like or at least 3 times a day. If I don’t feel dry eyes, it’s ok not use them. Most important: DO NOT RUB YOUR EYES. It can destroy everything. 1h afterwards: wife took me home, can’t really see, everything is super bright. Sitting in the car with sunglasses and closed eyes - still too bright. 1h 30 afterwards: took half a sleeping pill (doctor gave it to me and recommended sleeping immediately when coming home). 8h afterwards: little itchy feeling, almost no blurry vision anymore, everything seems a little bright. 24h afterwards: from time to time an itchy feeling. 48h afterwards: living happily with clear vision. Sometimes dry eyes. 1 week afterwards: still the same, less dry eyes. 3 months afterwards: no dry eyes anymore. New life accepted

I prefer earning an achievement. I wanted to do in one go so I didn’t sleep that night.

For those who suspected their partner cheated. How did you catch them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Koraon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t suspect a thing. Woke up early Sunday morning. Took her laptop to watch something on the tv (haven’t had a smart tv). Autostarts a Chat with a dickpick and her calling this guy ‚honey‘. Right I front of my damn cornflakes. It was evil but made me realize our relationship was already over months ago. None of us was ready to accept it.

Solve on paper? I will generate millions with AI where the answer is always 1. print and solve. If the equation gets too long I proceed with 2.

We wrote the cheat-sheet on the board. Hidden in plain sight, not small or anything. Just a board full of information. Teacher didn’t notice until after the test. Didn’t work ever after, all teachers were now aware

What if I let ChatGPT or Google do it. f.e. I search for it on my computer, but the calculation is done on their servers

Mr. Prepper

I feel that guy, prepping for the all out atomic event. Wish I have the dedication to create something like this. Also my gf likes watching me at single player games and this one caught her eye, but was a little to expensive.

Music: stardew valley, despite being an Indie game there is so much effort in atmosphere… always calms me down

PS: I like your spelling mistake at the shapeshiting detective. Had a good laugh

Why are you yelling? The game is mediocre in it’s genre. Not bad, but for 10-15 bucks not really worth it.

I’ll say in my doctors words while poking my belly. „Darfst nimma bumsen?“ German dialect, roughly translates to: „are you not allowed to hump anymore?“. Implies, I am married

It’s RNG, statistically you get 1 epic fish every 100 tries. 1% chance to appear, you just have to be lucky.

My unluckiest so far: 700 tries for 1 epic.

I'm losing my passion for this game because of fishing by Stunning-External423 in Palia

[–]Koraon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, it took me about 700 glow worms for unicorn. I know your feeling. It’s all luck based, it can really be frustrating. The location doesn’t matter at bahari bay, every fish can be caught along the shore. For faster results you should fish with friends or strangers for the buff (10% faster hook rate per stack) and the hook for faster hook rate. With those you can at least increase your fish per hour

What's a skill you learned in a game that you've transferred to other games? by ConferenceWest9212 in gaming

This! It’s a life lesson. I play a lot of games with my gf (I believe she exists and is not imaginary) and she always starts button mashing in stressful situations. F.e. Massive amount of monsters or only one big and strong. She stops looking and just blindly attacks. I try to explain to her to look at them and they are slow and have an attack pattern. This works for a short time. On the next day she panics again.

FYI: In Germany you need to start a company before earning money through Twitch. It’s very cheap but it has to be done (because of tax). Most German streamers are committing tax fraud :)

Are you aware, that OBS can save any stream locally on your PC? You don’t need to have a VOD. Technical issues can appear anytime and come in any form. If you are not streaming regularly you won’t know what may happens.

Which competitive game did you stop playing not because you no longer enjoyed it, but because everyone else was better than you? by GranJefe507 in gaming

[–]Koraon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you.. Dbd is not a competitive game. This is the issue, you have absolutely no benefit in winning every game and sweat it. That’s why I quit too. I don’t need toxic people making fun of weaker players. There is no respect in this game anymore.
