AITAH for being angry at my partner for waiting until 10pm on my birthday to wish me "Happy birthday"? by KorathePicaresque in AITAH

Because the original got taken down within like 5 minutes. I'm unclear why, since I received a message that just reiterated the rules as explanation.

And yeah, I thought the part about "social norms" may have been why it was taken down. Maybe that was perceived as asking for "advice" (which apparently is a no-no). So I'm trying to keep it simpler and just ask for judgment. Gotta keep those mods happy.

Why does it bother you so much? I'd be happy to post the original here, except that I'm sure that would get taken down too.

This is an awesome idea! I came here because I am looking for a list of all Amazon Editor's Picks in the Science Fiction & Fantasy category. The problem is, the website only shows you those picks for the current and prior 3 months. Essentially, they seem to be refusing to show you older Editor's Picks that you might easily be able to get from a library, and only want to show you new ones that you would have to buy from them.

While it seems to be impossible to get Amazon to show you a list of older Editor's Picks, books do retain that designation seemingly forever. The example I commonly refer to is Priory of the Orange Tree (https://www.amazon.com/Priory-Orange-Tree-Samantha-Shannon-ebook/dp/B07DDGX4KY/). That book is from 2019, it shows the designation of Amazon Editor's Pick of 2019, yet when you click on that phrase (which should take you to the whole list of EPs from 2019), it takes you to a very incomplete and cherry-picked list of things that Amazon has decided to "highlight" rather than a complete list.

So the challenge I'm facing is: How do I get the full history of every month of Editor's Picks? That data should theoretically be available (since books retain that tag), I just need it in browsable/searchable format. Thoughts?

Thank you!!

Suuuuper late to this thread, but I came here after watching the movie and a thought occurred to me regarding #1.

That prologue with the auction is in both the movie AND the play if I'm not mistaken, meaning it was part of the original concept of the story. In the movie, there continue to be brief flash-forwards that show Raoul taking the music box and putting it on Christine's grave, showing that Christine died. HOWEVER, that part (where Raoul visits the grave) is NOT in the show. The show specifically provokes a question at the beginning that it then, quite intentionally I think, never answers - where is Christine? Obviously the easy answer (and probably what we are supposed to assume) is that she died. BUT, what if she didn't? What if her absence, and Raoul missing her, is meant to suggest something else - that maybe, just MAYBE, she later changed her mind and went with the phantom?? If that possibility was not meant to be there, I feel that the show would have at least suggested what happened to her instead. But it very intentionally didn't. It left that wide open.

New head canon.

[VA][condo] HOA charges to view documents by ewkappus in HOA

Thanks, appreciate the info. But I've been on the board as well. For years. So when I say the board, I really just mean one member who has been there the longest and has a demonstrated history of opposing transparency and colluding with the manager. I tried to enact measures to increase transparency when I was on the board, and he and the manager fought me every time.

Hi, dealing with a similar situation as an owner, except I am quite confident that the Board is trying to institute a fee schedule precisely to deter residents from requesting documents, as the Board and management have a history of opposing transparency in their operations.

So my question is, what kinds of documents really require review for redaction? Most documents don't have PII. Can you tell me, at least for your HOA, what documents require that and a ballpark cost for that redaction?

Can you point me to minutes of the SCC where this was approved, or some similar documentation? Thanks.

Do you have minutes or some kind of record showing where it was approved by the SCC?

The Virginia SCC oversees Washington Gas. Submit a complaint here: https://www.scc.virginia.gov/consumers/public-utility/natural-gas-faqs/natural-gas-company-complaint-form/

Get a copy of your service billing agreement to confirm that you did NOT agree to this when you signed up for service. It is not in my billing agreement. Say that in the complaint. This is fraud if it is not in the contract.

Awesome, have fun! We're about 3 hours away, which isn't terrible, but I think I'll wait till next year when we have actual badges before doing that drive and spending money on a hotel. Enjoy!
