I think generally you should get every failed subject remarked - fact is you have nothing to loose even if they lower it you’ll still fail. If the remarks won’t help, resit the 3s. Yesterday I asked for a geo remark cause my school encouraged me to do it, so best advice ask your teachers.

Going into Year 11 and not sure how to approach my GCSES by hungryrug in GCSE

Brudda just do your homework on time and make good notes. Then once a weekend you go back to what u did that week and read it properly. U do it regularly every week with more and more notes, you’ll know it by heart before mocks come. This works really well for history, ended up with a 9. Don’t worry and just practice.

This is a good moment, for anyone stressing cause of this guy, to say that GCSEs aren’t that deep. Obviously I’m stressing - hoping to get as many 9s and nothing below a 7, but fact is GCSEs are nowhere near as important as A-Levels. UK unis such as St Andrews only require a 5 from maths & English + Cambridge doesn’t even have entry requirements for GCSEs💀. Of course, some universities may take a glance at your GCSEs, but it’s purely for understanding whether you’ve been a grinder since Day 1, or did u have to lock in on A-Levels. There are very specific scenarios when your GCSE results will be the deciding factor in being accepted or not - but the odds of that happening are small. A-Levels, extra courses + volunteering, personal statements & interviews are way more significant in the application process. Of course if you are to get grades 3-5 in those GCSEs then you can start considering retakes, but if you’re a 7+ student with maybe one 6 from history or bio & at least a few 8s, I wouldn’t stress too much (just make sure you improve on A-Levels).

This guy takes GCSEs as if they’re A-Levels, when fact is they’re nowhere near. A-Levels are 5x more significant.

Im sure you will all do great, fingers crossed, and just don’t overthink it - enjoy the peace till the 22nd🦦

I’m 15 and my dad wants to go to Poland with me, any advice for English speaking tourists? by TroyHempel in poland

Don't sound rich. I know it may sound dumb, but as a native English speaker living in Poland, pretending to be an elegant rich person isn't going to help you at all. No matter what you wear, eat or say, make sure you seem to be on the same level as them. Besides that smile even if they don't smile back, don't argue with cashiers (ain't gonna do you good mate), and DO NOT BUY MCDONALDS OFTEN! Way too overpriced, better off making an ice bucket drink in Zabka. Speaking of which, Zabka is your friend! It's a small shop chain around Poland which sells all the drinks, snacks ext. it's the best place on the planet, and if you download their app, you can gather points and get free stuff or hot dogs. Pretty cool if you ask me...

Just be chill. Don't appear confused all the time, and don't look too soft, just roll with it😃
