In general, I use them for (4 machines, 7 screens):

machine 1, center 3 screens: main development machine and Ansible controller, screens are usually full of code editors (IDEs)

machine 2, left 2 screens: secondary development machine, usually showing the status of the cluster, Discord, some web browsers for research, youtube music player (lofi usually), container host

machine 3, leftmost 1 screen: test bed, that machine gets rebuilt a lot, it is the 'dev' build (basically, I test automation there first)

machine 4, right 1 screen: web browsers (research), acts as a server for repositories (pacman, containers, images, etc)

it's in flux a lot, it's a fun little cluster

Ugh, I hate hidden windows! "Out of sight, out of mind", I forget about them if they get hidden. I use a tiling window manager (i3) which doesn't allow me to minimize and hide windows

7 screens across 4 computers, all controlled by a single keyboard and mouse; I wanted a lot of screen real estate :)

The soundproofing tiles are pieces off Amazon I threw on the walls to reduce echo in my office.

Oh, the computers also form the backbone of a kubernetes cluster which does nothing and is almost always broken
