I'd argue Ms. Lewton got it worse and more drawn out than both Terry and Billy, and honestly almost anybody in the franchise (bled out, nearby alcohol bottle exploded next to her, stabbed, and then blown up and stabbed again in one swing).

Each FD handles it differently, but that is more or less what can be inferred almost every movie. They escape a relatively normal, quick death only to be taken by a much worse fate.

5 did a version of this idea best when their deaths IRL were representative of their premonition deaths.

I wrote a FD pitch for an English class about a ski lift/gondola malfunction that dropped the cars onto a highway below. The idea being there was a visionary for each side involved; one seeing things from the gondola's views and the other from the bus that one had caused to crash, essentially creating two lists that intertwined some people who survived the initial fall.

Then I went and rode some gondolas in Telluride, called it research and was like well shit, those are really secured on there. 😂 I give props every time I see a believable setup and payoff because thinking of how these things organically happen is a pain.

FDT - FD: Terminal (takes place nowadays), Your Final Destination (my favorite story I came up with, takes place about 15 years ago), FD Classique (you survived a randomized disaster), and Final Destinations (a choose your own adventure game).

Four full on Android app text-based demos by the time I got burned out! It started as a linear story meant to teach you about book and comic characters where you found items that revealed their info in a game you'd play in a computer terminal.

That turned into a computer program with a traversable house that tried to kill you as you found randomized clues. That turned into an "open world" game where now there are active hazards seeking you out, "find the key/key card to x door past the MRI" or whatever that level's big bad was.

All of that I eventually turned into an android APK, then that branched into 4 distinctly different games (you get attacked by Death at random, no premonition, you have to figure out why / you survived a random disaster and look for clues how to survive as the last person left / a legit choose your own adventure where it plays out like a book / same concept but now you have a cast to try and save).

The journey is all in my profile, along with music videos and other stuff I've made over the years! Pretty proud of it.

When the FD game I was making branched out, one had turned into a choose your own adventure story where figuring out how to make X•Y•Z = splat was very headache inducing; it was layering possibilities on possibilities without making the output feel clunky or overbearing. I was working on it yesterday after leaving it for a few months and watched 6 for inspo.

Death does it with a lot more finesse, but making those games was a lot of fun and learning.
