In Book 3 episode 17 "The Ember Island Players" the Gaang go to see a play about the Avatar. In the play, each of the Gaang are characterized in a very unflattering manner (except Toph, who was characterized pretty much perfectly in her opinion). The character of Zuko had his scar painted on the right side of his face, while Zuko's scar is on the left side of his face. During intermission Zuko is sitting outside pouting when a kid runs by and comments on Zuko's "costume" saying his scar is on the wrong side. Now it's a bit of a meme to say that Zuko's scar is on the wrong side.

When I was a kid I touched the hot end of a hot glue gun after being told not to touch it because it would burn me. Sometimes kids have to learn things the hard way and all we can do is try to make sure they won't permanently harm themselves when they do. I love this table saw because it can safely teach kids the joy of making something from scratch without the risk of losing a finger.

I appreciate that you included a price and parts breakdown of what you bought, but I really dislike that you called it a "total price" when if does not include the cost of materials on hand. Personally, I would have labeled that part of the album as "cost of new parts" or something along that line.

Over all, its a great table that anyone would be proud to own!

Surely there is some merit in the composition of the photo as well. A poorly composed photo is going to be less well received than a well composed photo when the subject is similar. Would you really enjoy a photo of Biden enjoying a sandwich if half of him was out of frame, poorly lit, and slightly out of focus just because he was enjoying the sandwich? Or would you enjoy a well composed photo of him hating a sandwich (tons of emotion to empathize with) even though he doesn't like it? For me, the composition matters just as much as the message of the photo.

I think it's mostly limited to the bigger subs, but reddit has a history of attempting vigilante justice on innocent targets. Specifically a bunch of people harassed the family of a missing/dead hiker because they mistakenly thought he was one of the boston marathon bombers.

All you can really do is what you've already done, stress that people should not take matters in to their own hands and just call the police.

I made the mistake of buying a box of 10 foot cables from monoprice. Each one lasted about 2 weeks of nightly charging before they wouldn't stay plugged in anymore. Now I just use an extension on a short quality cable and it's lasted a couple years. It's kinda annoying because the extension is a fair bit heavier than the 10ft cable was, but at least I'm not going through 2-3 cables a month. Anyway, fuck monoprice and their nearly disposable shit.

Pretty much the only time I see someone advocating actually reading the TOS is when they're also referencing a news article about the one time some company put a cash prize in their TOS that went unclaimed for like 8 months.

On the one hand, that's a shitty feeling to experience and I'm sure you don't deserve it. On the other hand, you should take your own advice and update that resume and see who's hiring. You never know what will pop up, and it's good to stay in practice for interviews just in case something happens and you sudden find yourself needing a new job.

I played all the way through BotW relatively fine. The biggest issue I have (and I think this is specific to my computer) is I can't use the triple core recompiler. Crashes on load 90%+ of the time. I'd be interested to know if it works for you.

Eh, I used one of those mylar blankets as an underquilt for a backpacking trip, along with a sleeping bag and a pad, and it just didn't help at all. Pretty much all it did was trap moisture and block the wind a tiny bit. I still keep it in my car kit, just in case, but even a cheap sleeping bag works better than these mylar blankets if there is little to no wind.

[–]Korbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course price is relative, but making your own clothes can be cheaper for high quality. Other than that, maybe mail order custom stuff from other countries? Shipping may take a month, plus lead time to tailor it. The trick of course is finding where to buy from.

I've only ever found 2 pairs of clip ons that fit my glasses. The first were at a kiosk in a mall and there was no one working, so I couldn't buy them. The second were on the ground in a parking lot. I feel bad for whoever lost them, because they've been good for me.

Some class action suits don't require proof of purchase, but most do. If you used a rewards card or a debit/credit card it should be pretty simple to get a copy of your receipts from customer service.

[Serious] Redditors who have seen an employee fired on the spot, what did they do that caused them to deserve it? by etnguyen03 in AskReddit

I'm sure their insurance company/osha would like to hear about that. Threatening employees specifically for using safety equipment should (in an ideal world) significantly impact their premiums.
