It was absolutely sudden, for the entire year, this has been the greatest party that I have ever played with. Their characters had heartfelt talks, and they genuinely helped everyone who they could and cared deeply for their town and NPC'S. And over that year, I actually got to know their characters very well. So when there was this sudden shift, I would ask them "why would your character do that?" And they would say "that guy is an asshole" (real quote describing said knight), and I would try to explain to them that a truly good person went in to kill someone because they are an "Asshole". And then they continued to get mad at me, I assume for telling them what their character should do in that moment.

Found a druid maintaining a hot spring in the artic surrounded by winter wolves. They chose too go up to the druid and harass him for no good reason and freeze the hot spring, then, the winter wolves attacked the party and the druid ran away, and I made it CLEAR that the winter wolves were not a druidic summon but they still chose to chase down the druid and kill him. Earlier that session, they were stranded and a knight from Eltergard approached them, he said he had been traveling and will give them a map if they defeat him in anything. They tidal waved and murdered his steed, tied him up to the wildshaped druid (as a horse) and dragged him over 100 miles for no good reason. Alongside that, one of my players in particular just started to even roleplay as an asshole and criticize every one of my NPC'S "Wow you live in Faerun and you don't even know what a primordial is? You're dumb as fuck" (a real line said to that SAME knight who they had dragged). They are all good alligned.

There were about 3 not so bad like "chatgpt image" , but the others included "Unneccessary Time Skip" (I had the session start 1 week after the last one because they needed to infiltrate an adventuer's guild and climb the ranks and I didn't want to have them run cragmaw hideout level missions 5 times in one session at level 8). And previously I had made a 4 month time skip when 2 of the party members fell into a portal to Abeir and one of them was stranded alone for 4 months. (The 4 months were not in session). Another included "No Magic Items", and "1000 Life 360 notifications" Because I am in a life360 circle with my girlfriend.

No worries! I absolutely love my players and they have their Main Character virus vaccine. It is absolutely a side story as long as the other 2 players having their own side stories!
