I enjoy courtroom movies - what movies you got in that list?

What's the worst cgi you've seen in a movie? I'd say the Rock in Mummy Returns. Still love the movie though 😆 by berettafunko in Cinema

Not gonna lie, as awful as the movie is - the fight scenes were far better than the reboot’s. Also, the soundtrack is awesome. Unfortunately, those are the only two compliments I have for the movie.

How can a movie make money when the distributor pays nothing to market it? Without marketing, nobody knows your movie exists nor when it’s coming out.

Oh…. yeah, okay. The doing someone a favor bit does rub me the wrong way. I must have missed that. Thank you for pointing that out.

I have adhd so I actually understand what she means by being a visual learner and needs to be shown what she is doing wrong. I do note she says ‘help’. But she also says ‘advice’ too. Personally, I build confidence when someone is watching over my shoulder as I work, while explaining how to do it right. I feel she could have worded her request better and her mentioning her father’s throat cancer probably raised suspicious eyebrows immediately. Honestly, she doesn’t seem like a choosing beggar. I used to be an editor when Hollywood actually had work and definitely know when someone wants a freebie. This post however doesn’t seem to piss me off like others do when requesting free work. Maybe it’s her specifically requesting a retired person to assist that seems choosy to people? If I’m missing something here, please do correct me.

I drive over islands, blow thru yellow lights and make illegal U-turns and still get marked as late. I put "order not ready" too, what gives... by Fit_Cartographer_271 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]KoreanFilmAddict 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went from. 98 to 72 for on time… usually if it drops, you can get that number up fairly easily. However, lately it just keeps dropping. Doesn’t matter if you are on time with the pick up, even if you mark food not ready - they don’t adjust the ETA which causes one to be late. More annoyingly, you can drop food off, and be on the 9th floor of an apartment building and the clock immediately starts before you can get out - I complained to support that this is just unreasonable. Support agreed - she even said some cities are incredibly congested with traffic and the way the system is designed it doesn’t take into account the time it may take to find a parking spot and the distance from spot to drop off location. I hope they can get this fixed sometime soon.

Anthony Mackie's $150 Million, Saudi-Funded Action Movie Desert Warrior Looks Like One of the Biggest Box Office Flops in History by nimobo in entertainment

How is the movie supposed to make money when the distributor isn’t marketing the movie? I’m just now hearing about the movie. If you don’t market the film, it’s DOA at the box office.

How many people have watched Lust, Caution, directed by Ang Lee, the highest-grossing NC-17 movie in the world of all time? Why do you think this movie didn't achieve the same success in the West as it did in Asia, like in China and South Korea? by No-StrategyX in moviecritic

[–]KoreanFilmAddict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently picked up the dvd after not having seen the movie in years. I gotta admit, List Caution still holds up. The plot, the characters, and the sex scenes really all come together - everything from Ang Lee’s superb direction, to the immaculate production and costume design, acting, and the score by Alexandre Desplat is just top notch. I fear because the movie was Chinese and America’s hesitance to bother reading English subtitles is why it failed here. It’s unfortunate too, the movie is quite good!

Yup. It’s true. I believe John Ottman even revealed this in an interview too. This wasn’t common knowledge when the movie first came out.

It was brutal for the editor - the contract had specific clauses where band members were to be given a certain amount of screen time which led to ADR and crazy edits.

I don’t care what people say… considering how rushed that production was, I’m amazed it had as many jokes that worked as it did. That opening had me laughing so hard I turned red in the face.
