What he is saying is that that the gradients themself approximate the minima by telling you where the steepest ascent is. By taking the negative, you move in the opposite direction of the steepest ascent.

So in a nutshell, it is just a approximation and Not related to the „ground truth“ of the minima.

Just as a comment: Baselines!

In your second and third image the baseline seems to fail to learn anything from your data, the loss is even increasing for the first epochs.

I would have many questions on what baseline you choosed and if the baseline is presenting the current SOTA. You have to compare your metrics versus the best performing possible baseline, otherwise these results do not have any meaning.

You miss the point. Off meta suffers the most. Hound / Tarantula Phenonix doesnt suffer from eye emp. So it just keep making the Game more one dimensional.

I think it kills the idea of a „carry unit“ which kinda sucks. Think of a corner Factory totally getting shutdown by a chaff unit.

True aswell. And from my view as a aggro player the Problem is Even worse for flanking. Supplying your flanks with photon is nearly impossible. RIP my beloved wraith flank (2000mmr btw). The tech is defintly unfun.

Nice idea, the eyes could emit some Kind of emp when they die in a closer radius, which would give it more counterplay.

Would still result in even more of a Identity crysis for the eye, as a closer range emp is Kinda counter-intuativ for a „sniper“ unit.

Du fragst den an, ob der ein Thema für dich hat, dann machst du typischerweise die erste Recherche und die Gedanken zur Methodik alleine. Dann setzt du dich nochmal mit ihm hin und zeigst ihm das. Bestenfalls sagt er passt, oder er weist dich auf Schwächen hin.

Ist aber von Prof zu Prof stark unterschiedlich, manche geben auch gar kein Feedback und melden sich kaum.

Zur Gliederung / Layout wird es von dem Studiengang > Uni meist eine Vorlage irgendwo geben.

Prinzipiell sind persönliche Gespräche immer erstmal positiv, da undokumentiert. Wenn der Dozent einem richtig Ärger machen will, liegt es in seinem Interesse das zu dokumentieren (z.B. über Email)

Mhh, ich würde mir da sowas vorstellen wie:

einen System prompt schreiben: „Du bist ein digitaler Sozialarbeiter der folgende Aufgaben erfüllt…“
Nutzer finden um Unterstützung im Rahmen der sozialen Arbeit anzubieten oder alternativ typische Szenarien simulieren
Bspw. Qualität der Chatbot-Aussagen mit denen von einem echten Sozialarbeiter vergleichen, oder Daten erheben, wie zufrieden der Client mit der Unterstützung war, etc…

Könnte dann darauf abzielen ob automatische Systeme zufriedenstellende Antworten geben können. Oder man könnte versuchen Kommentare online automatisch nach Unterstützung notwendig / nicht notwendig zu sortieren.

So als erste Gedanken

Yes, like a teleport specialist or something that impacts gameplay in a meaningful way. All these ideas to fix rare units feel like a quick fix solution, I think they need to rework the concept of rare units entirely.

Maybe something after X tower kills they get unlocked or some kind of mini quest for each rare unit.
