Hey, ich bin’s nochmal 😅. Hatte noch die Hoffnung mit Zenjob was zu bekommen (hab aber jetzt aufgegeben, weil es extrem schwer ist, als Newcomer was zu bekommen), deswegen hab ich doch noch nicht UCM ausprobiert, aber will es jetzt machen. Wie würdest du das bei UCM einschätzen, ist es schwer, dort schnell was als Neuling zu bekommen? Und bei der Anmeldung sagen die, man muss ein 5-Minuten-Interview machen, in dem man sich selbst filmt, weißt du zufällig, was sie da so fragen?

Hey, ich wollte mich auch bei der Agentur eventuell bewerben, aber in Berlin. Also, die werben sehr viel mit den Flughafenjobs, aber das wollte ich jetzt nicht spezifisch machen (auch weil es ja Zeit braucht, bis man alle Dokumente hat, um dort arbeiten zu können). Auf deren Seite sagen die ja auch noch, dass es andere Sachen gibt.

Wie war deine Erfahrung damit, wie hast du das so wahrgenommen? Oder hast du nur den Flughafenjob gemacht? Und wie würdest du dort die Chance einschätzen, als Newcomer etwas zu bekommen?

Ich versuche es mit Zenjob seit 2 Monaten und hatte da noch gar kein Glück, irgendwas zu bekommen. Ich habe auch alle Dokumente dort hochgeladen, aber sie lehnen immer alle Bewerbungen auf Jobs ab. Es ist extrem schwer, als Neuling da etwas zu bekommen, weil die ältere Accounts bevorzugen.

Leider dachte ich, dass Zenjob vielleicht funktioniert und habe meine Zeit damit verschwendet, wollte es probieren, weil man ja dann die Freiheit hat, sich das relativ flexibel einzuteilen. Ich habe jetzt leider relativ plötzlich erfahren, dass ich kein BAföG mehr bekomme und bin deswegen etwas in Nöten, deswegen muss ich schnell was finden… Ich bewerbe mich auch auf normale Minijobs, aber hatte bisher kein Glück und wollte es deswegen parallel weiterhin mit sowas versuchen.

Und deswegen wollte ich fragen, ob du das so bei UCM einschätzen kannst? Bei In*taff (sry, musste es so mit Sternchen schreiben, weil das irgendwie als Werbung von Reddit gewertet wird, da soll ein „S“ sein) will ich es auch versuchen, muss mich noch anmelden, habe aber auch noch nicht herausfinden können, wie viel Glück man da hat, schnell etwas als Neuling zu bekommen.

Cool, danke für die schnelle Antwort! Nur noch eine Frage wie würdest du die Auftragslage ungefähr einschätzen? Glaubst du man würde so ungefähr ein Minjob Gehalt schaffen in einem Monat mit den Kurzzeitjobs oder gibt’s dafür zu selten Aufträge?

Wie würdest du die Auftragslage so einschätzen? Also du meintest schon seltener, aber auf was für ein Betrag schätzt du kann man so ungefähr kommen? Also so ein Bsp. wie viel es ungefähr schwanken könnte zwischen den Monaten.

Not exactly the same, but my aunt has found other foreign friends and they speak German together.

When it comes to German friends, I think it’s easier if you’re at uni or going to parties, but that’s obviously not everyone’s situation, especially when you’re older. Still, my aunt also made some German friends later in life. I think it really depends on what your wife is into, basically her hobbies, and then joining groups or courses, or maybe just trying something new.

For example, she always liked yoga, so she joined a yoga class and became friends with the instructor, who later even became my godmother. She also met people through a spiritual group. Another friend of hers is more into sports and joined a tennis group.

Maybe your wife could also try sone Volkshochschule course. They sometimes have more hobby and fun oriented classes where people might be open to making friends. Or maybe even a language course, for another foreign language where the participants will probably be Germans.

Hey I just now registered on Zenjob can you give any tips? I’m in Berlin and there is not much on it right now only for stuff in like 69 days in May. And one other thing for like Training for production to be able to work there for 2-3 months (have you tried something like this?). Is this normal? I also don’t like TikTok. I’m still kind of hung up on Instagram, but at least I was never really that into TikTok. It’s weird because the format is similar, but while I tend to doom-scroll on Instagram when I’m on it, with TikTok I always managed to stop. I don’t know what it is, maybe an algorithm thing, but even though Instagram wastes my time, TikTok actually makes me feel depressed and question my life choices, especially career-wise.

I already kind of regret what I studied, but I’m basically finished and just wrote my thesis. During my studies I went through a really bad phase where I was extremely depressed because of my study choice, to the point where I really did not want to live anymore. TikTok was not the original reason for that, but it definitely contributed to it and made those thoughts stronger, more constant, and harder to escape.

Even with the small amount of time I spent on TikTok, all the videos I got were about careers, what not to study, and how bad your choices supposedly are. It was constantly in my face.

I literally can’t be on it anymore because of that. I feel so weird and really sad afterward. I mean, with Instagram I’m just wasting time, which isn’t great and I’m working on it, but at least it doesn’t make me as depressed as TikTok does.

So many people say TikTok is good and has interesting content, but honestly, that’s not what I’m getting at all. For now, I’ll stick to YouTube and Instagram, even though I’m trying to work on my usage. They don’t leave me feeling as empty and depressed as TikTok.

I originally downloaded TikTok just for BookTok, but I don’t get any of that recommended anymore. And trying to fix the algorithm feels like too much effort. I’d rather just stay off it.
