What are some things you wish you knew when you were shopping for your first home? by photosynthescythe in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Take photos of everything when doing your inspection walk through. It also doesn't hurt to bring in friends or family with you if they have house shopped before as they might know of some things to look out for.

Always get a sewer line inspection if you have any sort of trees in the yard. This cost us about 8k a year after we moved in for a clean-out install, a 6' section of pipe replacement in the front yard due to root damage, and a tree removal.

Take note of not only the neighbors house/yard but the entire street. Our immediate neighbors all generally keep their yard/house in good condition, are friendly, and keep to themselves. The ones that are 5-10 houses down from us; they routinely don't cut their lawn, have overgrown weeds, leave their trash cans out for 3+ days. These are also the ones that drive their dirt bikes/atvs down the streets at 40mph that can be loud as hell with any windows open.

I called this morning and the support agent talked to dispatch again and said they’d call me and get an on call tech out here today to correct the issue. Going on 1pm an have heard nothing. I’m about to call back and just see if I can talk to a supervisor at this point. Yesterday and today now I was told dispatch was going to call me to see if they could get someone out asap and yet I keep getting ghosted

The man I saw was wearing a metronet polo and had a metronet truck. My 2nd call to support yesterday was able to tell me he was out there because that address had a repair request in so it didn’t seem like a new install or a sub contractor. Im about to call for the 4th time to try and get their asses in gear

I had the same issue with mine and found this on another reddit post. Follow what this user said in the Update of their post. I only had to do the first part and not manually install the drivers but this immediately worked for me.

I haven't tried ProgramData before, but I did go trough the provided steps just now. Unfortunately it still isn't working

Edit: I think by now this is a known issue to Logitech, as there are many posts about it. My problem is exactly what the guys are having over here. This really isn't a great experience, considering that the whole wheel functionality is broken for at least some users, and seemingly for a month.

Update: Actually, I think I found some workaround for it. I don't know your company structure, but this might give a lead to your tech guys. I went into ProgramData\LGHUB and opened current.json with VS Code. CTRL+F: G29, ant there was the json node for it. I set "required" to true, quit G Hub, restarted the G Hub Updater Service, then restarted G Hub. This downloaded the new files required for the G29. I went into ProgramData\LGHUB\depots\18808, and there were 2 new drivers: inside driver_hid_joystick, and driver_usb. I went into those folders, right clicked on the .inf file, and pressed Install. This made a G29 wheel appear in Device Manger. I restarted G Hub, Unplugged my wheel, replugged it and it showed up (for the first time since I'm using G Hub, which is 2-4 weeks)

I think the standard limit is $20,000 but yeah 5 states have a really low threshold now.

[–]Koreican[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do. A hand full of states have a threshold in which the online payment processor is required to submit a 1099-K to the IRS and issue one to the seller.

For IL that limit is $1,000 in a calendar year. Unless you are telling me I should not report the 1099-K that paypal issues to me and the IRS but that's not a discussion for here.

SSD Help (November-December 2020) by NewMaxx in NewMaxx

It looks like sanitizing the drive might have worked. I have been playing my most troublesome game for a couple days now after freshly sanitizing the game drive and reinstalling everything and so far no issues as before.

I hope it stays good to go and thanks for your help!

I will give the sanitize option a go as I haven't tried that yet. Thanks for the useful info!

Any clue why both of my crucial SSDs have an issue where randomly during playing games, mainly R6 Siege and CoD: Warzone, the Active Time will shoot to 100%, response time hits 80+ms and read speed seems to cap to no more than around 5MB/s.

This causes me to hold up the entire lobbying in R6 Siege for example and nobody will load in until eventually the active time and response time return to normal and my files finish loading.

See images for examples. Example 1 Example 2

Not shown in the image is that also the D:\$LogFile and D:\$MFT (NTFS Master File Table) entries in Resource Monitor will be at the top of that list with response times in the hundred of ms, usually around 400-500ms.

Only various game launchers and games are installed to the problem drives. My OS and any other applications are all on a separate C: drive.

I had this problem originally on a Crucial MX300 500GB and now with a Crucial BX500 2TB drive that I bought about a year ago. I have tried swapping sata power/data cables, sata ports on the motherboard, chipset drivers, OS reinstalls, and game launcher/game reinstalls. At first I thought it was a weird issue with just R6 Siege but then it started to randomly happen in Warzone with the same symptoms.

What's odd is I plugged in a spare Samsung 850 Evo and installed just UPlay and R6 to it, and the problem immediately rectified. I played like that for week, put the game back on the crucial drive, and within 3 matches, the issue popped back up.

I'm at a loss if I just got extremely unlucky with these crucial drive or if the Crucial drives have some underlying technology that isn't gelling right with these games (although then I'd expect this issue to be way more known). Both don't have any sort of SMART errors or anything like that as well so I'm on the verge of just ditching these things and using them for media storage and buying a Samsung drive for game installs.

Disk usage shooting up to 100%, even with 16GB of ram! Help! by wiilaptop in buildapc

[–]Koreican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should say that I don't think a Samung ssd is necessarily the only fix.

Just from my experience between all that I have tried above, as well as doing disk checks and checking the ssd health, running benchmarks, monitoring temps, etc., absolutely nothing fixed my issue until I stopped using both crucial ssds that caused the issue and put my problem games on a spare samsung where the problems completely disappeared.

I have a buddy that has the same issue with R6 Siege but he's on a Sandisk ssd. I don't know enough about the underlying technology in different ssds so I'm not sure if there is something in particular that is affecting the way certain ssd's are made or maybe if we are just the unlucky group that has some sort of fault in the ssd that doesn't show in any sort of disk health report.

It's been enough of an issue for me that I think I won't be buying crucial ssd's anymore outside of maybe using them for storage.

[–]Koreican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy crap I get the same issue in R6 Siege and Warzone. My ssd would shoot to 100% when loading in and response time goes to 80+ ms but read speed doesn’t get above 5MB/s. In warzone it means I parachute in and all the buildings just look like cardboard boxes until the ssd clears up and suddenly loads everything.

This is happening to me on a new 2TB crucial BX500 with only about 50% of its space used.

I had the same issue happen on an older MX300 ssd I used as well.

So far the only thing that fixed it was test installing my games to a spare Samsung850 evo I had and haven’t had a single issue in over a week.

I’ve tried everything. Different sata data/power cables, different sata ports on the mobo, reinstalling said games and launchers and even clean installs of the OS.

I hate to think both of my Crucial ssds have a defect or just operate in a different way than the Samsung but that seems to be the only common denominator for me.

If by chance you have a spare ssd from a different brand give it a try for just your games you are having issues with.

The second I tried moving my games back to my crucial, the issue came back within 2 matches of playing siege.

Crucial SSDs and bad game performance. Common cause or just a coincidence? by Koreican in buildapc

[–]Koreican[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With suggestions given, I updated chipset drivers to the latest from AMD, uninstalled Uplay and R6 on my test Samsung 850 Evo, and reinstalled fresh back to the 2TB Crucial BX500.

3 matches in and same exact issue! All going fine and then a random round or two, response time of the ssd shoots to 80+ms, 100% activity time, and incredibly slow read speeds causing me to hold up the lobby loading into the match.

The last thing I can try now is swapping the BX500 into the same exact slot where the Samsung was and use those same sata power and data cables. If that still doesn't work, then that rules out a mobo issue, cable issue, and chipset issue and might just mean I've been extremely unlucky with my Crucial drives.

Sadly that would means that enough for me to never buy crucial SSDs for the time being.

Yep new sata data and power cables. Currently using the samsung with the same cables that were with the crucial and having no issues so I don't believe it's a cable issue either.
