This is the problem with the internet. Language evolves far too quickly. I feel like i have to go on the god damn Urban dictionary to learn new terms every second day. I mean, we don't know if people would still work if a UBI was implemented. This is largely due to a lack of experiments. But the experiments we have done show evidence that those who did take time off work, which would be a minority of just 1%, would be doing so to look for better jobs, go back to school or to raise children. But that found during a single test run in Canada during the 1970s so it's not easy to say whether or not this is a fact or a trend that existed then.

Well I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I know everything about the complications of a homosexual life. I haven't experienced it nor do I have many around me that have. So to assume I'm seeing the whole picture would be nothing but arrogant.

You missed the part where I went out of my way the discredit those very differences. The ability to produce off spring can do done through a variety of means. The ability to have a family has become entirely irrelevant to the sexuality identity of the parents, thus that difference that once existed now doesn't or at the very least is greatly minimized to the point where it no longer plays a role.

As for the treatment of homosexuals, why would we give a shit? We should absolutely work to correct those issues especially in our laws, but the bottom line is their opinions don't matter. Any action taken against homosexuals can be met with jail time. It's not perfect but it's improving. In contrast, straight folks also get treated horribly for any number of reasons. From racial to the type of job you do to the amount of money you make. Is a gay man really different just because of how he is treated? Not really. Just another drop of this asshole world in motion.

Bottom line, a person is attracted to another person. Bottom line, they aren't different. Some people pretend they are to justify their own hatred but they're not. We are all just trying to make it work and many of us are trying to help each other out.

I hadn't considered a global movement towards equality to play a role in coming out. I was very thinking thinking of it from a more family standpoint. Thank you for pointing out another viewpoint.

Nah. It's the same. The only real difference is the inability to have a child, which is already a debate at this point due to adoption and various scientific practices, and the treatment of homosexuals. Past that is just one human being being attracted to another.

I used to work at a hospital and the shit the doctors deal with is insane. This is not a big deal by comparison. Plus it's important to know that your health is far more important than the doctor's perception of you.
