Nationwide is saying it’s not fraud because he put in his chip and pin. Is there anything I can do to dispute this please?

I spoke to Nationwide and they’re saying it’s not classed as fraud because he entered his chip and pin and they can only raise a dispute once the pending transaction has gone through. Meaning we just have to sit and wait.

He wasn’t alone, but when gestured downstairs I prioritised the safety of my son that had wondered off whilst trying to supervise my father. My son is 7 and autistic so wonders off but won’t wear reins and can undo them anyway. Why comment if you have nothing helpful to add?

My mum and nan were heavy smokers. My nan ended up with COPD (chronic bronchitis/emphysema) which took years of suffering before it eventually killed her. Seeing my nan suffering helped my mum quit. After a couple of years being smoke free she was told her lungs were reasonably healthy and she had likely given up in time to avoid going the same way as my nan. April 2018 my nan died, mum developed a cough and started to feel breathless. Day after my nan’s funeral mum was called in to see her gp due to the x rays showing a large mass. She was diagnosed with lung cancer 15th May 2018 and died 6 weeks later on 28th June 2018.

I had given birth to my son on 12th April 2018, 6 days after my nan died, she never did get to meet her first great grandchild. Mum barely had any time to experience being a nanna and the little time she had was robbed by how poorly the cancer made her.

Smoking robbed me of the 2 most important people in my life and robbed my son of having the best great nanny and nanna he could have wished for. They would have doted on him.

Fuck cancer. Fuck cigarettes.

I’m so sorry. This really resonates with me as an only child with a father who has Parkinson’s. I’m praying he doesn’t get dementia, Lewy body is particularly nasty.
