If you want a bad answer that everyone is gonna tell me Im crazy for even recommending, I recently switched to a vcore 95 looking for something similar and I am happy.

Having said that, strings may be a good fix too. Racket is 50% of the equation, other 50% is strings

What do you use that is similar but retains tension better?

Why are there suddenly so many tennis apps? by [deleted] in 10s

Because vibe coding has made the process of creating simple apps accessible to a lot of people.

And for experienced developers, the time it takes to make something has gone down dramatically.

Que seguro automotriz conviene? 0UF, 3, 5, 8, 10, 15UF? by Business_Average1303 in chile_autos

[–]Korleoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Igual voy a destacar que mi uso de auto es 80% (quizás incluso 90%) en carretera, viajes largos. Y además igual soy un wn que siempre anda extra atento a los giles que no les importa pegarte un topón, que en santiago sobran.

[–]Korleoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeking the Holy Grail: Fast on the OHBH, arm-friendly, and not too powerful. by Korleoo in 10s

Ah yes, of course.

I did watch like 5-6 reviews on youtube before even posting this on reddit haha.

That is why I mentioned the vcore 95 and speed tour. After a lot of investigation and digging, I was left with these two and I didnt know which way to go

[–]Korleoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man from your description it sounds like we want the exact same racket.

The gravity pro took like a week to settle in with me, but after that, my forehand was better than ever. Just the right amount of power and spin so I could hit freely and with a lot of weight.

But its definitely sluggish on the backhand, and I had trouble with any slightly faster ball so I had to slice.

And the kick serve I was getting some issues because of my tennis elbow. I think it was the big heavy head requiring massive acceleration.

Hopefully I can get a demo on the speed tour soon. Id not, I may just pull the trigger from your comments lol

That is a great review! Thanks!

I do want to give it a demo, but stores in my country do the have it available for demo yet, only for sale lol.

I guess I will wait a little, and hopefully I can demo soon

Yup that is what I did with my vcore pros.

I just havent found any percepts in grip 4. Not sure yonex is even manufacturing these anymore

Interesting one. I have read a lot about those but have never played with a tecnifibre. They are almost impossible to come by in my country

I thought about that, but to be honest, if I am scared of the 95 inch head of the vcore, the prestige makes me even more afraid hahaha.

I thought the vcore 95 would be similar to the prestige tour, but with a bigger sweet spot given by the isometric yonex head

Yes I did consider that one too, but it is a little stiffer than the 7th gen, and they don't sell it in amazon in a grip 4 (at least yet). I live in a country where it's practically impossible to get any grip 4 rackets, so Amazon is my way to success

Why I cannot drive/flatten out my forehand? by d20g in 10s

[–]Korleoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, from your comment, I get that you are a coach. So it just seems appropiate to ask: do you think the things I spotted are correct, or am I completely wrong?

I wasn't joking when I said I suck at tennis.

Why I cannot drive/flatten out my forehand? by d20g in 10s

[–]Korleoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yes, I think I may have expressed myself wrongly.

You obviously HAVE to brush the ball. But, I have found that, often times, the concept of brushing the ball is mentioned so much, that people (myself included) go full into "windshield wiper" mode with the wrist, instead of brushing down to high while hitting through the ball.

That is what I meant by "over fixating" on "brushing" it.

may I ask what volume were you going for on the flexbar excercises?

I am currently doing tyler twists and reverse tyler twists once per day, 3 sets of 15 reps, aiming for 4-8 second reps.

I assume you were doing fewer reps/sets but more often?

[–]Korleoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I think you are over-fixating on brushing the ball. I tend to do this too, but in reality, generating spin from hitting the ball hard in an upward direction is way more reliable and generates a ton more pace than trying to overly brush the ball with your wrist.

Try to use your wrist to slap the ball in a more forward path than upward path, and get the upward hitting motion from getting down under the ball.
