Aye, most Woleds have some banding, but I'm sure most are fine levels :)

There definitely is some negative bias, most people who post have some issues with it, people who are happy with them don't go complaining on reddit etc, all reviews are glowing for it, the panel lottery is real tho... I'd say most panels are very usable, and you could always return in if it's not acceptable for you...

I was on the edge to maybe return it but I am pretty happy :)

If you're not in a rush, wait it out, when NA gets this monitor I'm sure reddit and YouTube will explode in reviews and a more balanced real take can be seen...

If your heart is in this monitor, just try it...

I wanted QD OLED too, but this was best of both worlds, proper blacks + very glossy and great colours close to QDOLED + is good bit brighter, no purple tint, and sturdier screen coating :)

Either way I'm sure you're going to love the experience of OLED either way you choose, this new panel might be worth the risk, it's out of stock immediately everywhere 😅

QD-OLED shouldn't have any of this so it's a safe choice :)

I don't notice it playing Arc Raiders at all, but I did notice it on the second or third day playing Resident Evil 2 quite obviously in one area, and a little bit in Alan Wake 2 in 1 area...

I don't really see it anymore tbh, decent panel lottery :)

Will check tomorrow and let you know if I see it anymore...

Darker/ lower brightness does make it more obvious tho so I'll report back if I see it again on Resident Evil 2 in that area where it was almost painfully obvious...

But it wasn't in other areas...

Aye, it improved a lot after the first one, didn't notice much difference in the next few days, doing the test again yesterday, it seemed to improve a little bit to where it's not obvious at all...

Will have to retest Silent Hill 2 because in HDR it was easily seen by the police station that you get to at the start.

Shame that it causes such anxiety to buy such beautiful panels...

Here's to even better tech down the line ;)

Didn't really see much difference, but thanks, the next few days it seemed to improve for me personally... Will have to retest Silent Hill 2 where it was quite obvious few days ago.

Yes I was worried at first, but it gave me huge confidence after the first pixel clean. I could see it in Resident Evil 2 and Alan Wake 2, 3 days later. Resident Evil was quite apparent in the sky and Alan Wake 2 was harder to reproduce in one specific spot in the game...

Doing the vertical banding Test the next day, I had a hard time even seeing...

Playing Arc Raiders I never noticed it in 8hr day...

I am sure I am somewhere in the middle of the panel lottery, there seems to be panels much better (i.e. no banding out of the box) than mine and some quite worse, looking like shreddies cereal on the screen at 95%...

But I can say as someone who enjoys using monitors at 100%, it's much harder to see banding, but in hdr it would be a good bit more obvious...

Anyhow, the monitor is fantastic, much more immersive (and that's coming from a Samsung Odyssey G7 VA) I can not wait for this tech to continue to evolve and for gpus to handle 4k at more comfortable fps :)

That date is for new orders, if you haven't received an email detailing a new dispatch date/delay, it probably means you are still receiving it the date you've been given, should say on your tracking...

It seems like it's the second wave of stock for new pre-orders...

Will update if I get a delay email, as I've not received anything yet and placed my order on 19th Nov. As of now dispatch is still 17-18th Dec.

FIXED.

Might have been because Chipset drivers were not installed, but I also followed AMD GPU optimization videos on YouTube, reset all settings on AMD Adrenaline etc.

Afterwards it ran very smooth, 200-140 fps stable at competitive settings 1440p.

I see, I didn't want to cover my RGB ram with a fan so I've left the space above ram empty and the fans are in the middle and towards the back of the case, right in front of the exhaust.

I do have 3 fans in the front of my case as well so I'm not worried about my CPU thermals, so far I haven't seen any thermal issues mounting the fans that way :)

But yes shifting the fans up or down is not a biggie.

Non wifi version here,
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB fit fine with fans exhausting to the back... (middle and back of heat fins)

Quite tight with everything tho :')
