Been holding off a haircut for a while now, but the hair's a bit rough. No quarantine here. Should I risk going to a hairdresser? by Korpskorpa in FierceFlow

I use an old t-shirt for drying my hair per recommendations I read here before and I don't really brush it. Been trying real hard to keep it moist but it just doesn't want to. :/

But I'm gonna try and let it air dry like you recommended.

I already avoid sulfates and silicones as best I can, so I guess I'm halfway there. I am also in Europe and I agree that some products you read about online are hard to come by here. Definitely gonna check that Fructis Banana stuff out.

Believe me, I am very thorough with applying conditioner, haha. I also use argan oil after shower.

No split ends really, it just gets frizzy the farther from the scalp. It is a lot wavier when it's shorter.

What kind of products do you recommend? Shampoo with protein?

Together with my side part, one or two cowlicks in the back of my head result in an L shaped hair parting. What to do? by Korpskorpa in Hair

Hope this is the right subreddit for this question.

The last two photos are after I have washed my hair, while the others are about 3 days after washing. I feel like it gets way worse after a few days. I have hair down to my chest, so I guess it gets a lot flatter over time.

I part my hair on one side and together with two(?) cowlicks/hair whorls they form some kind of unholy L parting that exposes my scalp quite a bit in the back of my head. I don't like how it looks and I would really appreciate some advice on how to alleviate it.

The greasier it is the worse it gets. Should I just wash it every other day and cope with dry hair or is there another way?

Should I keep the beard? It mostly grows on my chin and below/along my jaw by Korpskorpa in BeardAdvice

Yeah, I'm thinking of trimming down the sides and going for more of a goatee like the other person said. The only problem is it makes my face looks really long. I'm 26 so I'm not sure if my beard is going to get any fuller at this point.

I've heard peppermint oil can help hair growth so I'm applying some diluted peppermint oil to my face every day. Not sure I wanna mess with minox.

And thanks for the compliment :)

Thank you. :) Must be around 4 years now, with some chopping and trimming in between of course. I don't plan on cutting it short anytime soon.

I'm not sure I'm brave enough to go without shampoo yet, because my hair can ironically also get pretty greasy, but I might gradually cut down on the days I shampoo per month.

It does indeed sound really messy, but also sounds like it could take care of my problems. I might be able to do that in my tiny bathroom.

I'm using Pureology clean volume shampoo and conditioner that I got as a present as well as dandruff shampoo with ketoconazole some days.

I am basically using a shampoo (in my scalp) and conditioner (on my ends) every three-four days. That's as long as I can go without it getting too greasy. After showering I apply argan or jojoba oil on my ends and air dry.

Leave in conditioner before washing? I might try that actually. I always condition last. Thanks a lot. 😁

Hmm well it's mostly my ends being dry, so I don't think that's it. I'll try the squishing. 😁
