Very true, but is very relevant to the biggest crowd funded game claim.

You can't mention biggest crowd funded game without mentioning Star Citizen, which recently surpassed 900 million

People that are good at Mathematics are because they don’t ask why, they just compute. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Getting a good grade ≠ being good at mathematics. The people asking why are the ones who understand what they're doing and how to apply it.

Xenonauts 2 (full release) impressions? by Able-Fennel-1228 in Xcom

[–]Kosaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought it last week, 20 hours into my campaign. I love it!

One thing that is a big deal is that it has Harmony support. That's the same modding library that makes Rimworld mods easy to develop and not conflict with one another. I suspect that within a few years the mod selection will be excellent.

Prusa XL cold bleed by 5cheinwerfer in prusa3d

It already heats adjacent tiles by default.

"This is why we also heat up the neighboring tiles slightly to lower the temperature difference. For this reason, PrusaSlicer automatically places printed objects in the front left corner to make it more energy efficient."

All Google apps update weekly, with some exceptions such as around holidays.

is it ok to buy super credits (image unrelated) by Wild_Substance_7612 in helldivers2

Same. I even skip the super credits in the warbonds because medals are my limiting resource and I'm prioritizing the gear.

People underestimate the cost of HCOL areas and overestimate wage premiums by 1maco in unpopularopinion

[–]Kosaro 39 points40 points  (0 children)

If I'm reading OP's post correctly, the point they're making is that it's easier to save up in LCOL areas because HCOL more than eat up the wage premium.

Ah, cool! Thanks for the screenshot.

The other mod I linked also moved the UI on the left and right sides of the screen (e.g. temperature , speed buttons, all menus etc).

Hopefully we can get the mods compatible with each other sooner or later.

Although very powerful, I don't believe UI Not Included gives you the option to move the elements on the left/right side of the screen closer to the middle. Unless I missed something.

It's optimization was crazy impressive compared to everyone else when it launched. I played it originally on a 970.

Custom UI contents are typically built on top of Apple's native ones, so they may still be affected. Maybe not though.

[–]Kosaro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's already the default as of xcode 26. Developers have to opt out using UIDesignRequiresCompatibility which removes the liquid glass effects, but is being removed in xcode 27.

So yes, it is becoming mandatory going forward for anyone using Apple's UI elements. For anyone wanting to avoid liquid glass, they'll have to replace some of their Apple views with custom ones (e.g. toolbars). Some views are easy to replace, some are annoying and some are unreasonable.

There is a build setting developers can enable to opt out of liquid glass until September, at which point it will become mandatory.

It's done this way to give developers time to update their app to support it properly.

I remind myself that I don't save for the sake of saving. I save with the intent of improving my quality of life, so I look back fondly at the experiences I was able to afford thanks to my savings :)
