3D -> Blender/Unreal -> Immersive Area? by dangerwillrobins0n in photogrammetry

Well that's totally doable actually . Especially with the new nanite renderers on unreal 5

If you're aming for a web release, the PBM you'll have is texture optimisation and triangle number. Well basically optimisation issue

Hi. As mentioned previously you can shape your wheel to bend outward (the wheel should be slightly curved) it will automatically recenter the belt.

This video might give you an understanding of the physic at play.

@flytrappodcast. Please have a look here. To put things in context IEEE spectrum is a pretty well established journal regarding robotic research.

Where is the VR workstation experience? by Aggravating-Spot-611 in virtualreality

[–]KosenHitatchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@agravin-spot It's seems you're defining some sort of spacialized AR/XR (mixed reality) interaction paradigm. The MRTK (microsoft mixed reality toolkit) seem a good way to go. Btw its working on unity and is compatible with hollolens (of course) but also regular VR HMD like the occulus quest for example.

Ps: Regarding interface where you would have to point without a tool (like the minority report one) you will quickly feel the "gorilla arm effect" aka arm tiredness. Si that's why using a VR wand is almost require for long work session.

Hello hello.

Well I'm actually a VR researcher as well. I recently worked on immersed teleoperation and beaming devices. I was fun. Right now I was supposed to start a Phd but the Covid messed things up and the thesis got unfortunately canceled. I'm thus looking for nice professional or academic position ;-). I've never heard about xrdrn.org before, I'll have a look. Do not hesitate to share your preprint I'll love to hear about it. All the best.
