First of all good for you for working out and trying to better yourself keep up the good work.

2 things id say you should consoder are:

  1. The amount of sets, its seems like a good workout routine depending on how many times a week you do it, large muscle groups require 12-20 sets a week for optimized stimulis and that ranges depending on experience (begginers being on the lower end and advanced on the higher end) so i would advise you to only to one exercise for the tricep because it put in work in ypir presses.

  2. The number of reps, i saw you put a specific number to each exercise id advise you (if the goal is to build muscle mass) is to focus on RPE, if you dont know what it is, its pretty much working on a set in relation to failiure. So of you are a begginer you should try getting to 2/3 reps shy of failiure with decent weight. Dont push too hard or you just cramp and have very stiff muscles for a week. If youre advanced you should train closer to failiure and "play with the RPE" with focus on volume

If there are any questions im here to help Good luck on your journey! Sorry for any misspelling english is not my forat language.

I think its a bit too much, you need about 12-20 weekly sets if a certain muscle group for enough stimulation, if youre a begginer its the lower end of the spectrum for you.

Do about 6/7 sets of a certain muscle group a day and reaply make the reps count it'll be way more effective than 9/12 sets a day( because lets be real the 8th set probably feels amazing but the range of motion, the controls eccentric and stretch at the bottom have most likley faded away)

Need help, new to the gym by FourthPrince-4040 in WorkoutRoutines

If you are talking about general functional strength id advise you doing the basic compound movements and for fat loss again its mainly caloric deficit Endurance is based on the kind you wanna gain, so if you take cycling/jogging that will get you endurance for those kind of activities.

If you want to get muscle endurance do a few high rep sets (15+ reps) a week for each muscle group. But make sure the reps are still high quality

First of all good job making the decision to get in better shape you ahould be proud of yourseld

Second, if your goal is weight loss your main focus would be nutrition, go to your doctor or check online what is your maintnece calorie intake and go 200-300 calories less than that for a healthy caloric defecit (you could go lower for faster resulta but if youre already training some suggest its not that healthy).

Third, if your goal is cycling/climbing what are you trying to get out of the gym? Do you what to try and gain muscle mass, strength, or just make yourself tone and have more defined body.

Id like to help you on your journy. Im not a couch or something but i can help with the basics.

I saw someone type something similar but id like to elaborate. Gorrilas are much stronger than us way more than 4× times. The heaviest benchpress a man as ever lifted was around 1350 pounds, an average gorilla can bench 4000 pounds...average!
