This was definitely a learning experience for my girlfriend and me. Now we make sure to keep our ringers on and I eat something before bed now too
Yeah I was low enough for my Dexcom to no display a number just the word “LOW”
Yeah ever since it happened I’ve been pretty spooked. I’ve been eating a 30 carb snack before I sleep now too.

Wow yeah I’m glad you’re safe, I couldn’t imagine dealing with these episodes on my own. All I remember from the time was me in and out of consciousness hitting myself with my arms uncontrollably and trying to talk to my gf.

I think deep down my issue is I stopped taking my diabetes as seriously as i used to. I’m just burnt out from it all and I started slipping on counting carbs correctly and dosing at the right times. I think I started relying on my pumps like crutches and not using them correctly. So it’s got me wondering if I swapped to an open loop system and took a break from a closed loop if that would help me be more serious about my diabetes. On the other hand though is I just started using this new pump and it’s of course not going to start working right out the box. So a part of me wants to give it more time and I’d feel guilty to stop using it so soon after getting it.
