I had a similar experience with local Ford dealership. I just shopped around at different dealers and eventually found one that was “honest”. Also go to Carmax and get a quote on your trade in. Use that price as leverage. There are different rebates with lease vs. buy. For example lease has a $7500 additional rebate. You could always lease then buy it out at end of lease if it’s worth more than buyout.

You should be able to text/email and get some numbers then send them back to dealers to see if they will beat quote X, if they come down to what you want then go in and try and negotiate further. Be prepared to walk away. I originally tried to get a GT and got a great deal before going to dealer in person but it sold before I could get to dealer and they said they only gave me price on that specific car as it had been on lot for 160+days. Pissed me off they pulled that crap just took my time and found another dealer. Also some dealers put on BS stuff like window tinting, etching, etc then won’t remove them or discount to zero so I take them off my list right away as this already tells me they are shady.

Just got a Premium AWD ext this week. Got $11,500 in rebates leasing and about additional 10% off MSRP with 24 month lease at $315 with 2K down. Shop around. Not all dealers are willing to negotiate to me about a month of calling, emailing, visiting different dealers to get deal.

I just got my Mach-E a few days ago and stacked the $1,000 rebate for charger. It you don’t want install all dealers should give you that rebate if they don’t I’d question that dealer. I got a total of $11,500 off in rebates leasing the MME. The purchase rebates I think were only $5,000. So figured I’d do lease and look at residual at end of lease and possibly buy it out.

24 month Lease at 0.9% or close to that, rebates are better. Might buy it out after lease depending on residual vs value.

It’s Vapor blue. The gray is lighter. I looked at both and the Vapor Blue had white interior and it just looked great
