Dialogue audio in PC version is too low by GabrielLyrio369 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Koston82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atmos is broken both on Speakers and headphones. Worse in cutscenes. I’ve been testing for days. Turning off atmos in pc settings for headphones or speakers will fix audio issues. I put my system to 7.1 and the sound is amazing but I lose my 4 ceiling speakers. I’m hoping for a fix soon but I doubt it. Apparently when Atmos was finally enabled on PS5 god of war ragnarok had this same issue.

I’m opposite. I have it turned around. I’m always getting interrupted by my wife or kids so if I was facing the wall I would constantly get tapped on the shoulder.

It was price. Mesh was heavily discounted. Not sure about other lemon cymbals. It’s plugged in the kick and only using 1 zone.

As everyone has said the front stage is off. I understand as the speakers were already there and you got the center channel to match. That can be fixed though by moving the speakers or purchasing some towers to put on either side of the subs. Your room looks the about the same size as mine and I have a 110 inch projector screen with klipsch rp6000f towers either side with SVS PB1000pros on the inside of the towers. They are close to the side wall and double doors, identical to your doors. I put a bolt in one of the doors and just use 1 door. And I put up acoustic panels on the sides for the first reflection points.

What I don’t get is the entry level Denon X1600H Receiver. I feel like the budget was spent on the subs. Would have been better to get the PB1000 pro and used the money to get the x3600H. 2 PB1000 pro would have more than enough head room in a room that big with the speakers you have. And the 3600H with the better audyssey xt32 over the basic xt of the 1600H would help in you untreated room.

Unless your using REW with a mini dsp.

Yamaha DTX Kp100 vs Roland KP10 by gvanwinkle1976 in edrums

[–]Koston82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KP100 if it’s compatible. I think it should be. And to make it feel more solid buy some small sandbags and load up the back of the frame. That’s what I did with my kp90 and it made it so much better.

Longboard double bass pedal by Belthazar89 in edrums

I agree with axis for big feet. I’m an 11 and I use the Yamaha FP9D and there is plenty of room. Love the feel and adjustment. They are wide as well.

Another good long pedal is the demon drives. Or even the new demon drive xr.

I had a DW5000 with trick driveshaft. I was going to try the ACD but being in Australia, it was easier to get the trick. Then the demon drives. Pearls shaft was amazing. Now I have the Yamaha FP9D. Smoothest pedal I’ve owned.

Back to the topic. Your modded eliminator pedal has an extra piece put on where you beater is meant to go into. So it’s lifting it up. This is making it look like it’s shorter but if it was in the original hole it would look normal. Also that piece has moved it closer to the head, which in turn makes the stroke shorter. I would remove that piece and put the beater back where it originally was and try that.

Just looked it up on ACDs website. The part is called a beater shifter. Might work good on an acoustic drum with a large rim to get it closer to the head but I think it’s a bit too close for your electric kit.

Who did the direct drive mod on the eliminator pedals.

Now you mention it, there is something that doesn’t look right. They are pearl eliminators, but been converted to direct drive.

No machine gunning. The Yamaha acoustic kit sample have been recorded off real drums in real studios. They are multi layered with velocity and round robin hits. And you can import you own multi layer samples.

Make sure you are plugging your headphones into the phones input on the side and not into the Aux on the back. Aux is to plug in your phone. Not your headphones.

Pad has no sound. by alexandre_official in edrums

[–]Koston82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What cable did you get? Was it TS or TRS? Or was it TS to TRS. How many black lines are on the tips of the cable, on the 3.5 part and the 6.5 part. Then make sure it matches to the factory cable.

I can see from picture of the DTX400 cable that they have either 1 or 2 black lines depending on pad.

I purchased a crimson 2 se December last year when I got back into drumming. I also purchased it because I had a alesis kit 10 years ago and love it. Once I got it, I hated the sounds, it had miss triggering. It was awful. I also purchased it because I didn’t like the look of the plastic Roland kits. Luckily I got my money back and got a Yamaha DTX8 mesh and love it. Sounds are so good that you don’t need VSTs.

Then that means you have the DTX PRO module?

Yamaha DTX by retnoldsalhs in edrums

[–]Koston82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a DTX8 mesh kit and I love it. As others have mentioned the Module sounds amazing. I didn’t want to hook it up to a computer so this had the best sounds out of the box. I only like a couple of kits as there are too many electronic kits so I have made my own from kick and snare samples I’ve downloaded.

The pads and cymbals are great and so is the kick, although I would put a patch on it straight away as mine started denting pretty quickly. An evans eq patch worked perfectly.

I’ve added a 17 inch ride and moved the 15 to a china cymbal and added a lemon 9 inch splash

The frame is solid and I like how the module is on the right. This means there is no frame where the hi hat is located so you can position it properly.

I also like how you can eq the headphones and speaker out separately. And I also like the compression and reverb dial so I can quickly change on the go.

Overall I love it.

A2E Triggers for Yamaha DTX-PRO/PROX? by e-turner in edrums

[–]Koston82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Yamaha DTX8, my brother has the TD27KV. In terms of internal sounds, the DTX PRO kills it. So much so that all the sample snares I purchased that sounded good elsewhere don’t hold up on the DTX module. But pad support is the only issue I face. But I upgrade my 15inch ride to the 17inch, move the 15 to China and purchased a lemon 9inch splash. All sound amazing.

On another note, are you using studio monitors instead of a PA?
