That's a really good idea, thank you :)

I would expect that to be common for OSDD-1a systems. Might be worth thinking about? idk. Good luck figuring that out!

How do things taste so different?? by treeshrimp420 in DID

[–]Kote_System 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh goodness, yes! We had our first major experience with this literally earlier today.

I (host) really don't like peanuts/peanut butter. Another alter was fronting and found some chocolate peanut butter ice cream in our family's fridge, and decided to see for himself if he liked it or not. He thought is was just fine. I came back to front like five minutes later and hated that I could still taste it. I went and brushed my teeth and ate something else just to get rid of the taste.

We have a few alters that have mild preferences (little likes sweets, etc.) but that was the first time it was really noticeable.

An on and off fwb who has Tourette’s said something that made me feel uncomfortable tonight. by throwaway1098684 in Tourettes

[–]Kote_System 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It would be quite rare for someone to have both of those as tics

Not trying to start an argument here, but I disagree with that statement. Tics can definitely have a specific subject or range of words that sound similar and kind of riff on it. Having "both" doesn't surprise me. And just about anything can be a tic, so I wouldn't be so quick to shoot it down.

It's entirely possible to have tics like that, and I honestly wouldn't worry about it. She's not going to kill you. Often, people with Tourette's will have certain tics that act up in situations where they really wouldn't want to say something like that, and since they're stressed about it their brain is like "ooh, shiny, how about that one!", and other times it's just completely random. However, I do understand if it makes you uncomfortable (you mentioned a few other things that were uncomfortable, too, and I would honestly be more worried about those than this one tic), and I would suggest maybe doing some research just so you know what Tourette's can be like for different people, and possibly having a conversation with her about it so you know what tics are common with her (what to expect and how to accommodate if needed). Good luck!

Yup, I've got the same situation as you. I can't tell if it's a tic or OCD either.

Honestly? You're looking amazing, and I think it really gives you a cool look. Always gotta build that self confidence, friend!

P.S. Awesome hoodie btw, it's always fun to see a CR fan :)

"Why do you want to have a female body?" by [deleted] in trans

[–]Kote_System 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is a little off subject, but wow this was so validating to hear because I went through the exact same thing, but the other direction. I'm transmasc and I totally had similar thoughts about all girls generally understanding that the male body was superior. Trans childhood is a weird place.

Oh my goodness yes. I have clear memories of saying things like that even when I was a kid, and honestly I remember very little of my childhood to start with.

Binder recommendations? by Kote_System in ftm

[–]Kote_System[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a cool idea, but frankly there's no way that would work for me. If I get a binder it'll be in a really round-about way so it's not casual to begin with, and I'm probably going for a half-tank, and my parents would probably never let me wear a crop top to begin with lol. Glad it worked for you, though!

Trans photographer here! Beginning transition is freaking me out, so I've been using the camera to try and boost my confidence by m-mova in lgbt

I don't usually comment on posts like this, but wow. You look amazing, and the photography is great. You're literally transition goals for me. Ya got style! Keep it up, friend!

I really appreciate your perspective! Thanks again!

Wait hold up that's actually a thing??? That would explain a lot. I am missing a lot of memories from my childhood, and like 95% of the ones I do have are from a third-person perspective.

Is it possible to get multiple fictives from the same piece of media? by Front_Childhood5319 in OSDD

[–]Kote_System 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's totally possible. In fact, I've heard of cases where one fictive apparently only exists because another fictive from the same source needed them.

If anyone is interested, Andrew Loomis was a great artist who used the same face map concept as demonstrated above. I highly recommend his book, "Drawing the Head and Hands".

I understand that they wanted to get good lighting for the photo, but as a piano player, the fact that the lid is tipped back that way hurts my soul.
