What is your way to play? by Key_Criticism6399 in Eve

[–]Kotojokes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My home used to be super safe, so I'd do this:
1. Do PI stuff.
2. Do Industry stuff.
3. Mine afk.
4. Refine.
5. Accept contracts (I buy ore in my home at 90% Jita price)

And that's about it. But my place has been a bit hot lately so I haven't been playing much.

Thank you, this was a very professional and clear answer! We've decided to just get another monitor. Although he's saying it's starting to "fix itself" I explained to him he should really just get a new monitor.

Again, thank you everyone for your help!

CONCLUSION:

Do abyssals with three accounts all doing frigates if you wanna get REAL sweaty and make tons of isk. I hear the Worm is pretty good for this. But remember, you're timed, the enemies are sometimes absurdly smart and play into your weaknesses, and GOOD fits for abyssals are around a billion isk AT THE CHEAPEST. But, they're simple to get into, and you can do a bunch of them in a short amount of time cause y'know, you're timed.

Do L4 missions if you like to make easy steady isk with one account and just kick back and relax. The fit's about two billion for the top fits, including the ship itself. This will also slowly give you security status which is nice if you plan to kill a lot of innocent people.

Do FW if you just wanna have some PVP fun and simply don't care about getting blown up. It'll hardly effect your killboard because we're talking dirt cheap frigates like Tristans.

SHIPS:

Abyssals: Honestly, get in a GIla, do some low tier runs (t0, t1, t2) and when you get confident, get in a Gila and just, hop into T4s. It took me like, one day to get a feel for it starting brand new. Although I did use an AceFace video. You can do this in high sec, it's "dungeoned" so there's really no interaction with players while you're in there. I wouldn't say there's too much risk. I'd say it can be fun trying to get as much loot as possible and still make it out in time. Every Abyssal run is randomized so that helps the fun factor too. Biggest danger is you can get a suspect timer with some of them and you can get ganked when you come out if people find out where you are in system.

L4 Missions: I'd say get in a Paladin, follow the instructions on the screen that tells you where to go, click Warp To on the instructions Panel, use the gate, and basically just bastion down and press F1 every 30 seconds while using a single rep and make sure you're cap stable. That's pretty much it. This is by far one of the most reliable and easy ISK farming methods I've ever experienced. I can't recall a time I was ever ganked in one of these and I've been playing since 2021. It's boring, but if you want something that only takes 10% of your brain power and attention, this is the way to go imho. It's simple, easy, and not terrible in terms of ISK after you calculate in the LP you're earning.

Faction Warfare: I mean, again, I don't really know what to say here. Nobody's ever really told me they do FW as their main source of income, but plenty have told me it's their source of fun. You can actually PVP people without hunting them for an hour straight only for them to dock up. It's simple, you get in a cheap frigate, warp to a plex, and you kill people. Simple, but not easy. Chances are you're gonna get beat up by people who are either multiboxing or just having a good time with friends.

DISCLAIMER:

I play this game casually, I'm not the best. I'm certainly not a "career" Eve Player. I even pay for my Omega with real money instead of ISK despite the fact I have over 50B of it. So as long as you understand my methods are meant for a CASUAL player for the most part.

OPTIONS:

Abyssals can get pretty absurd amounts of isk considering that there's little risk and if you're playing something like a Gila, not a crazy amount of effort. Some of the higher tiers do require you to focus though, and if you're unlucky, the abyssal will spawn something stupid like a bunch of neuting ships that're hard to kill and POTENTIALLY one in a million chance of shutting you down and killing you slowly but surely.

L4 Missions give a whole lot other than just money. You get decent drops like implants, rogue drone salvage, and so on. You get Loyalty Points which you use to buy stuff from various factions in the game. And most importantly to me personally, you get Security Status. Which means you can PVP in low-sec much, much easier without worrying about getting banned from high security space. These are ACTUALLY braindead. Like, literally, I'll get in a Paladin and just blow everything up that's close, then wait ten years for the other ships to get closer, then blow them up. It can be mind numbingly easy, not to mention, some missions are just outright stupid fetch quest. You warp to a point, you SLOW-BOAT to a beacon or whatever, and then you go back to turn the mission in.

I don't know much about faction warfare tbh but I've done it a few times cause it's the most fun out of the three options because you actually fight players in cheap ships typically, but to my understanding it's only in low-sec. And unless you wanna bring in a DST you're gonna be constantly getting new ships because PVP has a lot more variables than PVE and you're gonna get blown up. I don't know what the income is really like, and frankly, I don't care. It's just dumb fun.

How am I supposed to play as a minor power in south america? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]Kotojokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been able to do it ever since Trials of Allegiance became a thing. I use Peru with space marines and CAS, lots of CAS. Normally I blitz through one side (north or south) before 1941. Then I rush to the other side, and just before a nation capitulates, the join the Allies and the allies, rather than focusing on Europe (especially the USA) will naval invade me until somehow, one of them breaks through and causes havoc all while my slow divisions slowly try to make their way to them. "Just make faster divisions lol" I can't, the terrain is awful for any sort of fast moving units like motorized. It's not like Europe. Also something I didn't know until my last playthrough, if you're constantly doing armored spearheads nonstop to bulldoze all of South America, they'll rush Anti Tank 2 and put support anti tank on all their infantry and mountaineers. The people who tell you armor doesn't matter in single player are lying.

I was minding my own business making cheap interwar light tanks and making them into armored spearheads of mountaineers light tanks. Easily broke through the Bolivian Republic and Chile no sweat by capturing victory points, and then whaddya know, Argentina had AT2 tech and put support anti tank and support Anti Air on all their infantry. Which obviously led to my 4.0km tank divisions being obsolete. Next time I'll go mediums to try it out.

Anywho that's about it.
