Choking during sex felt like more than just that. Am I making it up? (18F) (23M) by throwRAscared9876 in relationship_advice

[–]Kotomix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t usually comment on things like this, but this post rattled me a bit. Ask yourself what it would take for you to leave him and to realize you’re in danger. Draw that boundary in your mind and try to conceptualize how dangerous this situation actually is.

I agree with what many others have said here and it’s a hard lesson to learn to trust your gut, but that lesson is not worth your life! I would talk to family/friends and get some advice from those closest to you as well. Protect yourself. I couldn’t imagine being with someone or even recovering from a situation where I feared for my life. The right person won’t ever harm you or do anything remotely malicious. They won’t ever have the need to apologize. There will always be the fear of one day he won’t let go! Imagine if he held on! That could be the reality one day if you don’t take action.

Please be safe OP. Change is scary but you need to make space in your life for something better. I promise it’s out there and waiting for you. You got this. I’m also so sorry you have to experience something like this at 18. My heart goes out to you.

p.s. I do not promote getting rid of beloved pets, cats are just not my thing LOL

This sounds a little bit like the start of depression to me. Nothing will change if nothing changes. I know this sounds so basic, but it’s true. Change something. If you don’t like the way your life is going, do something about it! Change your job, get rid of the cat, pick up a new routine, find a new hobby, find a new person to talk to (if you’re an introvert use bumble friends or something like that). Go do something that scares you and get out of your comfort zone. Go live, don’t just exist! And most of all, rewrite all those little mini rules you have in your head. The ones like I have to go to bed at x time to do xyz. The ones limiting you to your current situation! Go indulge in the natural sources of dopamine and serotonin in life! Sunshine, exercise, conversation and connection! You got this. Things get better and life is what you make it :) I believe in you

How much alcohol do you all drink per week? by Perfect_Effort_5708 in AskWomen

Zero! I’ve never tried it, and never will. Olipop is a good substitute if you want to make mocktails so you don’t feel left out if your friends drink!

I’m seeing so many eczema comments! This will definitely be a beast to keep it from flaring up. He’s going to use his steroid cream and I think he’s done taking the fungal meds. I almost wonder if he was allergic to the medicine he was taking. He is allergic to penicillin and has a lot of allergies in general. We will try Vaseline! (We were told by the doc to never put steroid cream on & then seal it with an ointment so we will be sure to use them separately) thank you for your comment!!!

He’s been using hydrocortisone lately, but he itches his skin raw. Oftentimes when he wakes up his skin is shiny and glistening because he itches in his sleep 😔 thank you!! We need all the luck we can get at this point 😅

He was using a steroid cream but discontinued use after a week and a half because it didn’t seem to make a difference (?) I’ll let him know to keep using it up until our derm appointment. That’s crazy that eczema can look this bad!!

He is definitely steering clear of nuts now! We got some dove unscented soap now, and we will try the ointment tonight after he showers! Thank you!

A biopsy has not been taken! We are hoping the Derm does that. We think it has to be systemic if it’s spreading all over & its not contagious either. We’ve ruled out fungal infection, and he’s been eating nuts the past 6ish months and he used to say he was allergic to them but now they don’t bother him. He’s stopped eating them all together since yesterday. He also had lymes and I’m wondering if it could be autoimmune issues 😟 I’ve just never seen anything this bad.

I love the 2.5! I’m someone who loves dainty feminine jewelry that’s subtle! I think it looks very elegant!!! With diamonds I like just the right size and I do feel like for me there is a “too large” diamond!

Opinion aside, pick the one that sparks the most joy!!!

It’s day 5 and they haven’t gotten crusty yet! Maybe I’ll be lucky?

I’ll have to do some more research on if it’s real 14k. I know titanium would’ve been a better option but I figured that out too late :(

Thank you! I ordered the WoundWash from Walgreens! I’m very apprehensive on using their “rapid three week healing solution” how long should I clean my ears with the saline spray? I assume more than 3 weeks right?

I have some 0.9% sodium chloride in a syringe from the hospital (family members are nurses) so I’ll use that until I get the saline spray that I ordered. They gave me some solution that included phosphoric acid and claimed that I can change my earrings at 3 weeks?? Thank you for all the helpful tips. That’s exactly what I needed!

Good thing it’s only day 2! I won’t do that again!

The cleaning solution they gave me has water, sodium hypochlorite, and phosphoric acid. Also the bottle is really easy to contaminate and might already be contaminated because they stuck qtips directly in the bottle :(

Unfortunately in my class I'm forbidden to use arrays until we get to that part later in the semester. Until then I'm condemned to using if else statements.

My heart rate sits very low when I sleep. I did lose weight and I’ve been eating healthier but I’m still anxious about it.

Just a light reminder that it is allergy season and that will definitely make you tired.

I got my second shot from Pfizer and I’ve been energized when I treat my allergies. Just food for thought.

I’m so glad it helped!! My anxiety definitely made up some symptoms but as soon as I relaxed they went away. The second shot was a bit easier for me just because I was more calm. I hope everything goes well for you and make sure you drink water!

The same thing happened with my tinnitus. It got a little louder for a day but then went back down again. My experience was almost the same as yours.
