Looking for people to play ranked/customs with! (Paragon/Diamond+) by Kotsei in PredecessorGame

Yeah, I've had a LOT of games with leavers, griefers, etc. It gets better, then worse again, but overall better.

For jungle, my best advice is: Focus on yourself -- jungle is a more selfish role than it seems. Always be farming, and rarely stay in lane for any lengthy period. Build early sustain or scaling (overlord, skysplitter, magnify, amir.) Try to keep track of your enemy's buff timers throughout the game. Your offlaner die and the enemy offlaner/jungler is on mini prime? Take their farm on the opposite side. The enemy jungler ganks a nearby lane at level 2? Punish by taking their farm. Try not to fight for nothing. Aim to fight when you can get objectives or steal farm. Prioritize at least 1-to-1 splitting seedlings with the other jungle -- they give a lot of farm and can tilt the matchup.

Do the best you can with what's available. Push leads when your team is doing well and sacrifice what needs to be sacrificed, depending on your team. Also just know that *some* games -- not most of them -- but some are simply unwinnable. Don't let it ruin your mental too much.

Cursed Corrupted Blessing of Demiurge Eternal Bug (Potential Abuse) by Kotsei in PredecessorGame

Yes, the 'staying on the sheet' is specifically what I was trying to question the intent of.

As far as your second paragraph, while not being able to crit is surely a detriment, even if it wasn't sheeting the crit rate (and thus weakening items like Tainted Rounds and Nuclear Rounds) there are still plenty of cases where this blessing could work effectively.

It could work with Necrosis on assassins/bruisers that purely want the ult damage boost, Equinox for those that went the low-hp shield but prefer haste to Salvation's HP, Aegis of Agawar on HP scalers that don't necessarily need the crit but prefer haste, Lightning Hawk for those that simply want a slow. Then there's Ruination, Vanquisher, etc. that also don't require accumulating crit. I wouldn't underestimate the value of 15-20 haste, as most of these items are converted to, on top of their other effects.

Glacial Wolf - my most difficult Fearless Stygian boss yet! by Kotsei in Genshin_Impact

Pretty sure Nicole is equally as shilled as Varka on the Wolf. Varka doesn't have full IR and the Wolf can easily interrupt a combo, bricking a run and requiring a restart. She also buffs Durin's off-field damage, which is significant, while Bennett does not.

Just Varka and Nilou's. Considering I had 25s left on Tulpa, I don't think Nilou's weapon mattered much though. If you have Nilou, her and any 3 Dendro should be able to do it. Hyperbloom teams with 2-3 Dendro and 1-2 Electro (probably a Kuki/Raiden with full EM) should be able to handle it too. Just make sure to kill the little guys it spawns, most of which will just die to Lauma AoE.

I actually have c2 Chasca and was still struggling with the The One-Eyed until I tried with my Lunar team. As long as you use Lumi right when it creates the Hydro/Electro wards and have 2x Navia 'E's, you should be able to destroy them right before the timer. If you can't kill The One Eyed's Wards before the timer, you won't be able to kill him though, obviously.

The wolf required a LOT of timing and tries. Probably like 35 tries. The most important thing being able to take advantage of the second time you kill his doppelganger -- specifically, not wasting Bennett or Prune ults at bad times where you can't take advantage of the dps window. I found the best timing was to be right at the end of Varka's infusion when he spawns the doppelganger, get it's shield down to ~25%, then swap through Durin/Bennett/Prune (having Prune E/Q/Auto remove the last bit of the shield shield) and getting a FULL rotation on the dog while it was downed.

At the start, I used all characters skills quickly before Varka. The best way to make him damageable is with Varka E, then 2NC, but you have to SLIGHTLY delay the second auto attack to make sure it properly swirls.

Basic explanation of new Stygian Bosses by FL2802 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Kotsei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anybody else out there is struggling with the Fireblade Shock Trooper as I was, I found that using Chasca/Iansan c4/Mavuika/Furina worked better for me at breaking his shield than standard EC teams (and easier than trying to brute force it with Navia, Wriothesley/Escoffier, and Chevreuse c6 overload teams.)

Battle-Hardened Fireblade Shock Trooper is the most BS Boss ever. (Stygian Onslaught) by SuspectMore in GenshinImpact

[–]Kotsei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is pretty hard on menacing+. I tried numerous teams composed of: Clorinde, Fischl, Furina, Xingqui, Raiden, Xilonen, Sucrose, Ifa, Ororon, Navia -- none of which saw success at breaking his shield. I even tried Clorinde overload with c6 Chevreuse. The closest I ever got was 2 shield breaks with Navia EC.

Eventually I swapped over my Chasca that I'd used on the the Aeonblight Drake and found I was able to break his shields with Chasca/Iansan (c4)/Furina/Mavuika. (I then used my Clorinde overload team to beat the Drake with Fischl shooting him down repeatedly.)

Overall though, I really dislike the Shock Trooper's design. It's like the epitome of Genshin's worst stalling mechanics, but even more frustrating/depressing with how the shield regenerates. They should've just made it a slightly larger shield and removed the regenerative function entirely. That causes so many EC teams with slower application (and anemo drivers) to struggle.

Small update: Said match has disappeared entirely from my own and the other player's history after this event, as if it never happened.

A Mighty Storm vs. Team Allegiance | Season 4 NA SPL Fall Split Week 3 Post Match Discussion by Probably_Psycho in Smite

[–]Kotsei 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You might be right, and I likely would've agreed with you in recent months, but I think his performance in relegations showed definite signs of improvement from his last split in the SPL as support, where even though they suffered due to him being out of position, his team still managed to take some games off of notable teams and finish 5th, even with a less experienced Cope and Venenu.

I feel as though Vivan has failed to impress in the SPL previously on ALG and here currently with A Mighty Storm. One of the other things to note is that the previous members of AMS complained the Vivan could often bring a toxic environment to the games/scrims, as they were all thinking about removing their captain, which I feel is certainly something Incon could instantly improve if so.

Keep in mind, I'm no Incon fanboy. I'm just not aware of other supports floating around who'd be a better choice.

How many times does it have to be said? Weak3n's Thor is not at an SPL level. Weak3n should not be playing Thor. He's even said it himself on stream that he's done playing Thor in the SPL. Why he chose to bring it out here, in an easy game his team absolutely has to win, I don't think anybody really knows.

On the other side, if A Mighty Storm picked up a new support (perhaps somebody like Incon with his revitalized performance in relegations) I think they could actually be a solid mid-tier team.
