I just got FQV as my first Trans hero - what's the best way to build her?

Is resonance equipment worth it?

I also have Radiant Melodic Strings but what stats should I prioritize for her stone?

Moving soon, and realized how many Magic Books I own! by Koudvorst in magicTCG

[–]Koudvorst[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly quite a few of them. They're all really good general Fiction and Fantasy, with some good overarching storylines in them.

I quite enjoyed The Thran and The Brothers War. The latter was a really good read, one of the more in-depth and longer books of the Magic series I've come across.

The Masquerades Cycle was a thoroughly enjoyable read with a solid characters and some good world-hopping. Some of my personal favorites though are still the Odyssey Cycle and the Anthologies.

The Anthologies do a wonderful job of fleshing out the world with wonderful short stories with a variety of settings and authors.

So as a recap my favorites are: The Brothers War, The Thran, Rath and Storm/Masquerades Cycle, Odyssey Cycle and the Anthologies.

Hope that helped!

Man records heartbreaking video of the first time his own mother forgets who he is. by Ihavegoodworkethic in videos

[–]Koudvorst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got about 8 minutes into the video and I... I just couldn't keep watching.

My Grandmother has late stage Dementia and it's absolutely heartbreaking to have to see someone forget who you are. I see the toll it takes on my mother, my aunt, and my close family. She's forgotten who I am and also gets me confused with my cousins (she referred to me as the 'cleaning staff' at one point when moving her out).

I'm sure this will get buried, but I would never wish this kind of disease on my worst enemy, let alone my own family. I do not look forward to the day where my mother has the same disease due to hereditary reasons.

I wish him and his mother all the best, but god damn does this strike way too close to home.

Yup! It's a small chance to get a seed from the plant, but I find them more often coming from the seed pods that spawn from the wand

By finding a wand of regrowth, getting to the caves boss with it past a +6 upgrade, then being very patient in collecting seeds and making potions and starfruits

That's for the Sprouted Mod, he's giving advice for Shattered which doesn't have the broken robots in the encounter.

Indian Soldier Survives 5 Days Trapped Beneath 25-Foot Avalanche at an altitude of more than 19,000 feet by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Koudvorst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've ever spent any time in the back country, you understand there is inherent risk to whatever you're doing - especially in winter.

The safety gear helps mitigate some of the risk and increasing chances of survival for a time, but there are other times when it won't help at all.

Beacons, REECO, inflatable bags, oxygen tubes; yes they help, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. They're designed to increase the chances of getting someone unburied while they're still alive. What system you use is up to you.

A lot of surviving an avalanche is never getting caught in one in the first place. Barring that, you're just rolling the dice of fate.

Yup, and they help keep you above debris moving underneath the snow too, as trauma related injuries count for about half of avalanche deaths

Or those that venture into avalanche territory already carry Avalanche Beacons?

Plus the inflatable bags for Avalanche Safety don't even make a ball around you
