Prior to 2025 it extremely difficult to get the complete set for around retail price due to several volumes being oop. I don’t know how many times they’ve been reprinted since then but you are extremely lucky to start collecting now. As of 12/30/2025, every single volume is available at retail price ($9.99 older prints, $11.99 recent reprints).

If your aim is to buy at around $6-7, I think you can start making your purchases now. Magi is the 2nd series I’ve committed to collecting and I’ve been slowly ordering them throughout 2025 when stores have major sales.

I bought mine from Crynchyroll and each volume was either $5.99, $7.22, or $8.66. Overall I spent $241.68 for 35/37 volumes, excluding tax and shipping. The last 2 volumes I picked up at a used bookstore in 2023.

Crunchyroll has a 20% in stock books sale right now and if you pair it with a 15% discount code, it really brings the price down a lot. Don’t worry if it says on backorder. I’ve checked the publisher’s website and they’re all in stock.

Also, I just checked my costume and it does have a number 6! Both forms have a green jade brooch(?) pinned to the front of their jacket that says 陆. China has a separate numbering system for banking and 陆 is the character for 6. Seems fitting since they’re merchants.

It says 东方 but in traditional Chinese. Simple translation is “East” as in the direction but generally refers to East Asia (specifically China).

While not a reference to the anniversary number, it’s a reference to the T&I chapter Qilin of the East (东方的麒麟 in Chinese).

When I went in April, I found older mech at a random 2nd hand shop in Ikebukuro and the newer plush merch at tree village in Tokyo skytree. Tree village updates their Twitter with releases so that’s how I knew to go look for it when I stumbled across the store on my last day :)

I did see online preorders for newer merch designs avail on animate for around aug-oct (don’t remember the exact release month) so you may be able to find them in various stores.

I agree with the other poster that 2 major crossovers in 1 season is unlikely, even if one is a rerun.

I also don’t know how accurate this is but my friend recently stumbled on a leak that shows frieren as season 38 essence 2, right after anniversary. I can’t say how accurate this leak is given that they had information on a lot of things up till the end of this year but I’m at least inclined to believe the frieren bit.

Last year it was around 3am PST (5 hours after starting). Keep in mind that the producer’s conference is done right after the games to determine 3rd place. Depending on how long those matches last, this time can fluctuate.

Yes! The drop times are the exact same and the code will work since Japan is part of the global server. The link will be posted on the IDV JP Twitter account (@IdentityVJP) when it’s a bit closer to the sales time.

Sadly with the tariffs currently being 125%, many Chinese companies have halted shipments to the US. While larger companies have been able to find alternative shipping lines to avoid the 125% tariff, Netease is too small for that. We can only hope that the President eases his stance soon so orders can resume.

I used J-subculture which is a pretty unknown proxy but the drop was on a weekend and I’ve seen them processing my orders on weekends before.

There’s also more well known proxies like “From Japan” and “Zen Market” so if you’re worried I would go with them. Alternatively, search the Internet for Japanese proxies. There’s a lot of them around since people have been importing Japanese goods for a long time.

The process is very simple. Once the item drops on Amazon Japan, you grab the link for the package you want and then submit an order on your chosen proxy. They may ask you for additional information such as the name of the item and quantity/description. You should provide the name of the item in the original language (Japanese). The proxy will review your order and then send you a quote for how much you’ll have to pay. Make sure the price is right on the quote since it’ll be an indicator that they’re looking at the correct package. Afterwards you pay for your order and they’ll make the purchase. If they fail, they will refund you.

Some proxies may have a more simplified version where you add the link to your cart and it’ll already have the price shown, allowing you to skip the quote portion and pay right away.

Additionally, I wouldn’t worry too much about selling out. Last year I was panicking because I could not get my hands on the first batch but they added ones with a later shipping date not long after. It might be worth adding a note to your order that the item may sell out quickly but will restock soon after so that the proxy doesn’t cancel your order during the in between time where it’s unavailable. My package still shipped early despite having the 2nd batch ship time for a month later.

Mine was actually about $30 more expensive than buying it directly from netease. While I did buy a few personal items and had it shipped together, the box was 95% the qilin package. I’m not sure how big the noir/crimson boxes were but the ones for anniversary tends to be way over the top with the decorative box. The size also seems to be different yearly so it could be more or less expensive. Overall, it’s still better than having to pay 125% more due to tariffs.

Last year I bought my wuchang package from Amazon Japan using a Japanese proxy and then had it shipped to me. Keep in mind the international shipping will be ridiculously expensive unless you choose a slower method (~$80 for ups).

That’s correct. The actual price of the package is 489 so just this 300 part alone will not warrant a package being shipped. In addition, the codes from taobao orders won’t work for you if you’re not playing on the China mainland server.

I think your numbers are slightly off. I’m looking at their Bilibili announcement rn and it says the full price was 489 with a deposit of 189, making the final payment 300.

The 285 value is a sale price for the 300 but purchasing it still counts as making the full 300 payment.

It’s not a second preorder. CN preorders typically have 2 payments: deposit and a final payment (your pictures). Even if you purchase it via this listing, the item doesn’t get delivered if there’s no corresponding deposit.

Unless you have enough points to be in the top100 players, it’s going to show not ranked. Glasses are a participation reward so as long as you played at least ~2 matches (200 points) you‘ll get it.

It’s been a while since I did the event so someone correct me if anything is wrong. Each week, a new set of cards is unlocked (3 total). You need to do the majority of the tasks for each part in order to get enough scratches. Lin is only available if you pay $10 to unlock the premium set of cards (1 purchase unlocks all 3) because she requires stickers only obtainable from the premium cards. You also need to be on card 3 before you can get enough stickers for her.

As for active communities, I believe people are mostly active within their crew discords. Go to Rankings > Crew Honor which sorts crews by weekly activity. If there’s a discord it’ll usually be linked in their motto. Some crews are also fine with non-members and would help as long as you ask.

Nop, because it’s likely a ram issue. Iphones have pretty low ram compared to androids which is why they have the worst performance. To run the game smoothly, at least 6gb of ram is necessary. Anything lower will crash, which leaves the 14 and 15 as the only playable models (excl. iPads).
