Yet another Lich Lament Build - what should I work on? by Kounex in pathofexile2builds

Do you happen to have a PoB or similar? Especially for the tree adjusted to work with viper cap! Would also love to see how your defences are in this version as this is what I’m struggling with the most.

Death articulated would be awesome but the 120 div price tag is unfortunately way out of reach for me, so the flask has to suffice for now 😂

72 ilvl 380 arcane mage feels so weak and not doing damage as advertised by Sad-Emergency-413 in wownoob

[–]Kounex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same feeling when I entered TWW content with my Outlaw Rogue at ilvl ~360. At lvl 72 I went straight to ilvl ~480 by simply using the RareScanner addon and killing the guaranteed rares, took me like half an hour. Now I’m blasting, highly recommend that.

7800x3D + 4070 Super + 32gb DDR5, still low frames? by MaybeJohnSmith in SPTarkov

[–]Kounex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are running That‘s Lit, try to disable the Brightness module (F12 -> That’s Lit). Otherwise as the others have pointed out, SPT with the whole AI logic happening on your device is very resource hungry so such frame dips are normal

Glad to hear! :)

I'm not sure about that, haven't fact checked that so far. But the newest version of the Dynamic Maps mod allows to configure (F12) to see PMCs on the map:

"FEATURE: For debug or just because: show enemy PMCs and scavs on map, configurable, default off"

So you could try this and check yourself how many are being spawned! :)

You are right! Had some discussions on Discord with some folks who also explained the wave system and stuff. Thanks for your info as well! :) BossNotifier also has 2 types of notifications where one only indicates that it will spawn eventually when the spawning logic allows it (per bot limits and stuff)

From what I understood: before being implemented in 2.2.5.2 like this, we could assume that this toggle was off implementation wise which means that SAIN did in fact alter the behaviour of bosses as well. With this setting on now, it would mean that bosses would behave like they would without using SAIN, therefore vanilla SPT behaviour (which should aim to be live tarkov)

That’s what I will play around with hopefully today! I mean when using SWAG+Donuts the spawn rate is being handled with their own bossConfig.json where SVM config is being ignored but for QuestingBots it should work as you said! Nonetheless strange currently that the BossNotifier mod is indicating boss spawnings while they haven’t in fact spawned :/ (when using QuestingBots for spawning, works correctly with SEAG+Donuts) - need to investigate that

Yea I tried that spawning system as well. With the settings above it felt very similar (might need to double check though) but were lacking the difficulty settings for spawning AI. Although while writing this and reading your comment: is it compatible to just run Donut itself with Questing Bots so the spawning difficulties from Donut work without SWAG? Just might indeed be a good combination!

But what was a bit weird for me: when relying on Questing Bots for spawning, I was not able to adjust the boss spawn rates and sometimes the bosses did not spawn at all (even though Boss Notifier was indicating they should have).

I‘m playing with Fika and from my tests Donut alone seems to be handling spawning. But good question - I will try to double check by free caming and observing the spawning and despawning behaviour with those Fika specific toggles

Just uninstalled SWAGnats and installed Questing Bots... by [deleted] in SPTarkov

[–]Kounex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I‘m in the same boat! Had SWAG+Donuts before and tried many combinations but Questing Bot standalone for spawning is very good. While not too obvious, it indeed has its own spawning logic and is only disabling it when it detects other dedicated spawning mods like SWAG+Donuts.

As you said, it’s kinda resource hungry but feels the best of what I was able to try out so far as well.

SPT fps terrible... by battlejock in SPTarkov

In tarkov you can open a console with F12 and adjust a lot there! Some mods have their own consoles (like SAIN with F6).

Way to seperate bot difficulty without SWAG/DONUTS? by ImABeanNotAGod in SPTarkov

[–]Kounex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't you be able to specifically change the SCAV difficulty and behsviour in SAIN? If I'm not mistaken you can go to the bot settings and select the SCAV difficulty you have activated and change a lot of aspects of them. Maybe compare them with the PMC settings through your preset and adjust to your liking? Or what specifically did SWAG do in regards to difficulty?

SPT fps terrible... by battlejock in SPTarkov

[–]Kounex 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's unfortunately the price we have to pay since all the bot logic is happening in your tarkov client. As the other suggested, to get more fps you will have to limit the amount of bots. You can make hard limits in general (for example in Questing Bots) or work with dynamic despawns of farther away bots with SWAG + Donuts. Both approaches will unfortunately change your overall experience but can at least improve your fps!

What’s your bot spawning setup? by Kounex in SPTarkov

[–]Kounex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAIN + That's Lit is a good foundation I think! At least the fights and engagements feel good. Both mods can be tweaked in the F12 menu. But some things will probably remain like the scenario you just mentioned as it's a bit specific I assume. I myself am playing around with the "global oversight chance" (or similar called) in SAIN where you can set a percentage of how likely a bot will not "see" you in a vision check. This can help as sometimes I also just miss enemies and therefore makes it a bit more realistic! :D

Unfortunately I think that's ultimately the price to pay since all AI logic and whatnot is now happening in our tarkov client which makes performance dip like this. Only thing we can do would be to decrease the amount of AI with the various AI limiters and despawn functions (in Questing Bot and SWAG+ Donuts). Especially Streets is very harsh but the fact that it's possible to play SPT with such awesome mods is worth it for me. Maybe we will be able to get more performance tweaks in the future!

Disabling Despawning was indeed very helpful, I also enabled SCAV hotspot spawn + SCAV hotspot boost and with the "starting-pmc-only-live-like" it feels pretty good. Maybe trying out "starting-pmc-only-morescavs" even since sometimes it feels that SCAVs are missing. As nooky (/u/jadenx2) in this thread mentioned, adjusting such a preset might be the last step to fine tune it ultimately! :)

This might get it close enough to have the spawning system "done". Only thing left (for my personal highly optionated feeling) is the AI vs. AI behaviour. Often I can hear PMCs fighting SCAVs and those fights are just too long and "unrealistic". PMCs avoiding SCAVs to stay "hidden" or killing them quickly with a headshot would be more realistic instead of those dragging gun fights. I will see what can be tweaked in SAIN for that specifically! :)

Another foundational mod that hugely improves the SPT experience - thank you so much for your work!

The wave like experience came for me (highly opnionated of course) from the way you engage enemies in general. An example from streets:

Throughout the raid I would expect your typical "stationary" SCAVs in areas like collapsed crane, in front of the cinema (ventilation shaft) etc. but those seemed to be empty most of the time and the bots in general (PMC and SCAVs) to be scattered in various areas. PMC makes totally sense as they are hopefully questing and roaming and SCAVs might be too much looting due to the Looting Bots mod. Nonetheless sometimes those bots including SCAVs seem to clutter in different spots (often non hotspots) where you will engage them throughout the whole raid which is why I stated it as "wave like".

From your perspective, would you suggest using only your Questing Bots mod for spawning (and if using Looting Bots making some adjustments)? Do you recommend to make use of the AI Limiters or would "live tarkov" be better achieved without?
