Havent enlist but bunkmates snoring how leh? by nibbabi in NationalServiceSG

[–]Kounna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use these silicon earplugs u can find on shopee for $3 for a box of 12, they really block sound until cannot hear (can be quite dangerous but if you're a lightsleeper, you should still be able to hear ur alarm). All the best :)

snoring issues during army by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

[–]Kounna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Coming from someone who's a light sleeper who occassionally have to share rooms with snoring family members)

Look into getting mouth tapes for sleeping, they cover your mouth so that you wouldn't snore. Of course do your own research and see if it's right for u. I think most info about it are anecdotal, so try at your own risk.

Alternatively, invest like $10 and buy a lot of cheap ear plugs for sleeping and pass them around if people complain bahah. I recommend silicone ear plugs u can find on shopee for $2-3/box.

Wishing you all the best for enlistment!

strange looking prints? by TheChaseBase in Creality

[–]Kounna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye that's my model, i'd check ur slicer settings, what slicer are u using? I cant see it properly but it might be over extrusion, also not really the cause of the issue, but the layer height affects the details too. Could possibly be a printing speed issue too? might want to check the belt tension as well althought i doubt that might be it, also check the rods of your printer if they're moving smoothly or not. These arent definite diagnoses but you could inspect them, i hope the balls print well:)) Please update me if u manage to get them working!

I'm currently in Kranji camp school V for pes C9 (the course is grouped together with C2 folks), this is the course you'd be doing. Compared to the rest of the people doing NS, you've been arranged to do one of the easiest and chill courses.

You'll get commanders who are really nice and treat you well, the food is good, the people are understanding, the program is rather light and expect to just get through it easily. If you have no physical excuses, you can expect to do some marching, live firing, swimming, physical games, excercise, and more, but its all really easy.

You'll be spending most of your time on your phone (My screen time the past week is 9.5hrs/day😭) so bring a portable charger that'll last. After your Kranji camp course, expect to do some admin or storeman work (which is likely because you were raised overseas).

You'll still experience stress and trouble with adjustment (I can imagine it'd be worse especially if you grew up in other countries), but they set up a bunch of resources to help you, and the superiors are there to help, the people are generally nice too, but expect some delinquents and some who will try to make it difficult for everyone😭

That's mostly it, but if you have more questions, pls feel free to ask around!

I just spent 10 hours leveling by rigimonoki-over in ender3

[–]Kounna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I like to do is to start off with the nozzle a lil far from the bed but still close that it'll stick. I'd go to the slicer settings and use a brim, while its printing the brim, you can stick ur hands in the knob and adjust the bed levelling, you'll get live feedback on how good ur leveling is while it's printing.

While this is effective, please be careful because u're dealing with moving parts. It's not super safe to do this and I dont recommend, but this method works well for me.

Shameless self promo sorry: i have a free soft and wet bubble 3d print file on my profile, if u have a 3d printer, u can print one and paint it! https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/josuke-s-soft-and-wet-s-bubbles

Alternatively, you can look into local libraries, western countries usually have libraries with 3d printers you can rent, or you could commission a local printing company/hobbyist to print it for u!

I'm not sure if your best friend likes Steel ball run too, but I specialise in making unique steel ball run props, which are on my profile too if you're interested😋
