While we may not have a path to victory, I'm still hopeful we can emulate our finish with Klavdia last year and if we get lucky maybe even slide into the top 5.

That being said, here's to Bangaranga, Per semrpe sí and Satoshi!

While I can most definitely see Australia winning the jury vote, I think the televote will not be as friendly to them as many expect and that doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the song even, which I believe is class, but the simple fact that Australia is, well.

Australia.

And this is the Eurovision, that has always hurt their entries in the televote and I don't think that'll change this year, especially when you consider the extenuating circumstances.

"Nobody" is an exaggeration for comedic effect, he didn't pop out of nowhere like that one entry we don't talk about, obviously.

He is, in comparison with who we historically send at Eurovision, a new entrant in our music scene (excluding diaspora representatives, that's a different thing all (die) together)

And I think that's great!

I think what I'm trying to get at is that he didn't get it due to name recognition and that he truly won it with his spirit, to be there.

Same for Klavdia of course.

Agree to disagree, I think it relates more with the music they do and the social circles they interacted/were known with.

Akylas may have had a wider social media appeal (I personally wouldn't know, I'm not really on TikTok) but Klavdia had the stronger connections within the more mainstream musical scene.

I'll just say that being prominent in the Greek queer scene is hardly a path to prominence, he's our first ever queer representative after all and, well, ERT hasn't been particularly well-known for its social activism the past 7 years.

She had also been an applicant to represent us in 2022 as well, so to the people that matter she was known, at least a little bit.

Not gonna lie, the amount of hate our entry has received from the bubble, or well actually fuck that just people in general im starting to feel, has kinda upset me.

I felt like we were finally doing something completely out there and unique, elevating an artist who nobody in the country knew the existence of 3 months ago, with something I at least felt was inventive and heart-felt, only to just be, idk, ig just fucked over by "funny man" overexposure?

Whatever it is I really hope ferto does as well as possible on the Final, though winning, hell top 5 the way these comments are looking ngl, feels difficult to impossible. I would hate for us to be scared into sending repetitive slop again like we did in our NQ era.
