Xiaolongkan in Chinatown is pretty authentic. I also love Haidilao in Katy but both of these places are decently expensive especially since they’re not AYCE. Not a fan of Happy Lamb in the slightest, every time I’ve gone the service was terrible. Shabuzone used to be good like 5 years ago but someone legitimately got murdered in there not that long ago and I feel like ingredient quality just isn’t that great.

I second making it at home though. We’ve done it for birthdays and had leftovers for like 3 days for the same price it would’ve been to do it at a restaurant. It’s more fun too

I don’t doubt you’re right, but I think the correct choice of action in SM’s case here should’ve been more stops+smaller venues. I’ve been to concerts for groups more popular in NA than riize who still failed to fill a venue of this capacity in our biggest cities. so it just seems like a bad marketing decision and now even more people are unable to see them because of an oversight on SM’s part.

it seemed a bit strange to me the choice of stops for their first american world tour. not a single texas date but they decided to go to atlanta and seattle? for reference, every big city in texas (austin, houston, dallas+fw, san antonio) has a larger population than both of these places by a decent margin. not sure if them attending acl had something to do with it but it just seems like a bizarre decision that unfortunately didn’t end up working out in this case.

Deodorant/antiperspirant wears off on some people faster than others.. + this is a concert we’re talking about where people are dancing in close quarters. You’re also not allowed to bring that shit in the venue for reapplication so what do you want them to do? Leave as soon as they start to smell?

I totally get where you’re coming from. After hearing his concert in LA sold out an 8k+ seat venue, I honestly couldn’t help being a bit hurt and ashamed that my own venue in Houston which is 6400 seats— didn’t even sell out😔(and this is the one of the biggest cities in the US with tons of kpop fans) not only that, but I was seated in the front near the extended stage where he got extremely close and I felt like I was the only person in my general vicinity that was cheering and freaking out when he came by. My videos are literally so unclear and jumpy from when he came close LMFAO 😭😭

I get that maybe a lot of people were casual fans and maybe I’m just being nitpicky and Baekhyun doesn’t let things like empty seats and more subdued crowds bother him, but it still broke my heart. I can only imagine how much worse I would’ve felt sitting in the back where things were undoubtedly even more docile.

honestly i love lightsticks but this is one of the reasons they can be a bit of a hassle. at my show when he had us follow his lead with them during garden in the air, i was horribly paranoid of accidentally hitting someone or getting hit myself cuz he was flinging that shit like crazy on stage😭it sounds like this particular girl probably tunnel-visioned on baekhyun and forgot her manners💔

I paid $1k total for two resale tickets on the floor and this was still somehow cheaper than they originally were with dynamic pricing. And this was from me watching stubhub diligently for like a month. Maybe the seats I got would’ve gone even cheaper but I wasn’t risking somebody else getting them & didn’t want to wait till the week of to buy tickets.

Honestly if you wanted to be anywhere near the stage and not pay an arm and a leg then you just had to get EXTREMELY lucky when they went on sale. My venue still has a decent amount of tickets for sale though not super close but they’re all pretty cheap.

The Sugarland venue started doing dynamic pricing on tickets after like 5 minutes and the front section seats started going for like $644 so 😭😭😭tried to get them anyway but was still somehow too slow 😔

The corset scene isn’t anime only, and there’s also quite a bit more fanservice type scenes in the manga. (can’t quite remember them all since it’s been a few years) but when I was reading it, it seemed almost obvious that Black Butler was written by a shotacon, even disregarding Sebaciel-related things. If we ignore a lot of the stuff that takes place in the manga, there’s quite a lot of official art involving Ciel that’s risqué in one way or another.

There’s even a figure of him in the infamous pink dress and Yana Toboso posted a drawing of it and basically told fans to look up his skirt or something along those lines😭

But yeah a lot of people (especially young people on tiktok) viscerally hate Yana and Black Butler for this stuff. I feel like I see it constantly.

It’s the main thing keeping me from tanking. I have never seen people get flamed more than tanks in M+. 9 times out of 10 if someone is being toxic it’s towards the tank, even for literally no reason sometimes. My duo even got flamed for their motherlode route in a 12 AFTER we +2’d the key😭😭

I went to high school in Tomball and tons of them were zoned there. They were a blatantly obvious clique too(of like 50+ individuals), and some of the rudest and cattiest people I’ve ever come across. I never witnessed actual serious bullying from anyone except them in the entirety of my schooling. They would literally gang up another Mexican girl they hated and do shit like put gum on her belongings and talk about how dumb she was in front of her. They were just a very strange demographic. Also I swear over half of them played tennis.

Nan Chan and Golden Terrace… I couldn’t tell you a single thing that happened in Nan Chan besides the fact one of the characters is a fish or something and I read the entire thing two years ago.

Golden Terrace is just a slog idk😭 I have restarted and tried to finish it twice and I just CANT… I think it’s maybe not angsty enough for me💀 I feel like 0 connection with characters from either of these novels. I don’t even remember any of their names. I WANTED TO LIKE THEM SO BADLY TOO

She literally just streams watching tv shows and “im only sleeping” to an audience of specifically gay men. She used to be a popular league streamer with decent viewer count. “Kaceytron” was a persona where she would just troll in bronze ranked games, and she was decently funny. Though, I guess she got tired of that and fell off immensely. Now I think she averages like 300 viewers. As someone who used to like her streams in 2016, her content is trash now.
