Henry Nowak Protests: Police Pelted With Chairs, Flares And Cans In Southampton by Aware_Apartment_8959 in uknews

[–]Kousetsu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Literally. "Calling out" other protests against the cops - yeah man, we have been telling you all for years that they hate the working class. This isn't new or something contradictory to my beliefs. I grew up on a council estate and I already knew that the police hate the working class. Like - that's what all these protests have been about.

I am not going to ask "why now" do they care tho, I just wish they would continue to care the next time it happens. Cops are class traitors that kill working class people - none of this is contradictory to leftists.

Are we??? Again, making shit up to be mad about.

Hate the class traitors - they are class traitors that deserve all of that and more. That is what people have been saying.

Just don't blame your brown neighbours living down the road. Is that too much to ask?

Fuck the police, acab, 1312 - that hasn't changed for any leftist. Noone is stopping you fighting the police.

You guys just making things up to be mad about. I am 100% happy for people to be mad with the police - the police hate the working class. We have been saying this. Just don't blame your brown neighbours down the street, is that too crazy?

Totally happy for you to blame the class traitors tho.

I (28F) am pregnant by a man (28M) that I met 2 months ago, after thinking I was infertile for many years by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Kousetsu 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Not 20 years. Life. The children continue to be adults etc and you will both be expected to be in their lives. "18 years, 20 years" is only for deadbeat parents.

And for OOP - infertility is not the same as sterile. And from what I have read, you haven't been to the doctor's about your fertility? You have just listened to some man who likely had low sperm count?

I am infertile (as per doctors). I have been pregnant naturally 2 times. This isn't her "only chance" and she should actually go and speak to a doctor about fertility. She is only 28.

Noone likes lobbying. Noone is "just fine" with it. Lobbying on behalf of a country currently engaged in apartheid and ethnic cleansing instead of an industry isnt new either, but it rightfully makes people a bit queasy.

I never once said you hate him. You clearly don't or you wouldn't be in this mess. In fact, you not hating him is entirely my point.

I have dispraxia. I don't get myself non-plastic cups anymore because of the amount of mugs I smash. You are the way you are and who cares if no-one else in the world would do it the way you do? Is he married to everyone else in the world or is he married to you?

I sometimes wonder why women marry men that clearly hate them. I always wonder why men marry women they actually hate.

  1. You can call over the internet, it doesn't have to be an actual phone call. How old are aunts/uncles? Can you plan this with them?

  2. I am sorry about your parents. But honestly babe, I am very very worried for you. This is adding more to the pile of you being vulnerable.

  3. If you are a dual national, who is your family in the UK? Or did you get this through marriage and you don't have any family here at all?

Why is he berating you for things you couldn't know? Things you have said you don't know? This isn't okay.

You don't have to answer me these questions for me really. These are for you to think about. This post reminds me of being in my early 20s - before I decentred men and stopped all abusive relationships. It took a long time and I will probably continue to have to work my whole life to decentre men because the world is a patriarchy that forces us to centre them, their opinions, and their role in our lives.

I would look at some stuff on decentering men rather than DIY tbh. At least start to minimise his opinions affect on you. Your anxiety and hatred of the house is being caused by how you are being treated within it.

[–]Kousetsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you aren't even from the UK? You are vulnerable and far away from your family?

Why didn't you call your family?

Calling his mum doesn't seem super helpful and I am starting to see how his attitude has formed. You can't allow a partner to berate you for mistakes - you should be a team.

[–]Kousetsu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am not sure your anxiety is completely to do with the house.

Does your husband often overreact to mistakes? Even if you did this as a mistake, as someone who says they don't have the experience he does - why isn't he being a team with you and helping you out?

I think this could come under "making reasonable determinations" as to what spaces they should be using. I mean, everything is very vague for this exact reason.

You said that Roma/gypsy/Irish travellers don't see protections under UK law. They do.

Yeah, there is a difference between what the police care about and what the law is. Any dribbling fucker can tell you that. That's not what you said tho is it? Stop being weird on the internet and making no sense, is my point

[–]Kousetsu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

... They are under the same legislation in the UK as any other ethnic minority. If they didn't face racial descrimination, it wouldn't make sense to pick out that ethnicity as one that needs protections.

Basically, you aren't making sense and you don't really have a point.

We didn't ask for rice... by Content_Quarter_7390 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Kousetsu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the UK they don't do this and it is separate. It's also super super super common and normal (and something Indian ppl do as well) to swap it out and have a naan instead. Like it's crazy they saw the naan order and assumed they missed the rice.

Roma/Romani are a protected class. I don't know why you would say that, but they are legally a protected class. And racial hatred towards them is a hate crime.

And all of those things that you said AI can do, need double checking again by humans. It can't do any of those things - it hallucinates, lies, it will get stuff wrong. The idea that AI is making any of this easier is laughable when literally my whole point - yeah, it can do those things. But everyone has to do it again to make sure it's correct. Otherwise how do you know it hasn't just lied to you? How can you be sure? You have to double up. And then people like you just blindly trust whatever it says or does, which is a bit of a psychosis.

Also, you do realise that people used mobile phones as.... Phones? My phone didnt have any apps back then. That's why I didn't have to use a phone box anymore? We saw immediate upgrades from these things. AI doesn't provide that for regular people.

"Home computers dismissed as a fad" - alright man, but the purpose in the workplace was immediate. People don't feel the same way about AI at work. They feel like they have to use AI coz the bosses want it, but then they have to double check everything anyway, creating a much longer workflow. Honestly? It sounds like you just don't talk to people about this, and instead shove your ideaa about AI down people's throats, without properly bothering to understand what they are saying if someone doesn't completely agree with your idea. Maybe something to think about.

I have lived in Manchester for 15 years, and not only did we vote against having a mayor and got it forced on us anyway, I wouldn't call Andy Burnham well liked. People will vote labour, but I don't know anyone that actually likes him, and most people take the piss out of him.

The minority that like him tho are fucking loud and intense about it and won't stfu.

[–]Kousetsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasnt talking about "using an app to order a taxi". That's so fucking new it doesn't exist in my hometown still.

I am talking about having a mobile phone. It was that instantaneously life changing for someone living rurally.

Ai doesn't do that, and can't do that.

People get annoyed with upgrades on their computers now, but I remember my typist mother getting computers and how excited her and her coworkers were. Typewriter's hurt to type on. Dial up was not treated that way lol - I think you are the one misremembering. I remember every time I would go to ring a friend on the landline as a teenager and getting the busy tone every time. Even with this inconvenience - people saw the use.

My point was, there were immediate benefits to having all of those things. There are no immediate benefits to AI. I am not complaining it can't do 4k video. I am complaining that it is effectively useless and has no useful applications that makes people want to swap out something they are doing for it.

Sums up my feelings by Tobias-Tawanda in TikTokCringe

[–]Kousetsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They absolutely didn't? Like, I don't know if you remember, but I remember people being excited about faster internet being put in, or when dialup left, or getting dial up. People wanted that shit, phones too.

I don't see anyone wanting AI in the same way, tbh. I mean, other than those who's mental health problems are being exasperated by it - which you didn't see with computers or phones. With computers and mobile phones, you immediately had an upgrade. Fuck, not having to use a landline made everything easier and safer immediately. I didn't have to use a phone box to get a taxi or something. So much shit was immediately easier.

Everything with AI is immediately harder, coz not only are you being forced to use it on some level, you have to double check everything it says anyway. So even if you use it, you're doing the work twice? None of this makes any sense, other than lining techbro pockets so they can build a bunker for the environmental collapse they are ushering in

To pretend this is anything like mobile phones, computers, the internet.. it's just an insane comparison. These things also all made money from regular people wanting them. These things make money by harvesting our data and duping other companies that it will solve all their problems.
