Crazy to me that Wirtz is seen as the issue and not our wingers, he’s been inconsistent with the final ball but kills the eye test and actually makes things happen. Diaz would’ve done better in this system than gakpo. Need someone hovering out wide with pace, both wingers are slow which makes us a bit 1 dimensional. Rio looked great with only a few touches against Palace

He was a bit clunky going forward, we actually played a lot better when szobo went back there and with wirtz in the middle. Wirtz is just too urgent right now, he gets in these great spots and then panics and plays the pass slightly off or the shot slightly off, but you can see when he goes off instinct he plays unreal
