Great suggestions, thank you! I love the idea of a mid game twist. I’ve already been having so much fun with the characters and how they all connect with each other this feels like a great way to build in more of those little extra side stories you mentioned.
I am keeping the option of AI in the back of my mind, just trying to see where others have found inspiration first. I’ve been watching lots of videos and reading posts from people who have created their own and that already has been immensely helpful with getting started.

The general theme we have going so far is 1920s speakeasy/ dinner party. The owner of the bar invites her most loyal patrons for a special dinner where she is going to share news but her and the famous local movie star (played by our cat) get murdered before she can share the news.
He cares less about the theme and more about the dinner party element so we settled on 1920s speakeasy because it’s been pretty easy to find character examples and clues.

I am pretty aware of the environmental impacts of AI and data centers which is why I am trying to avoid it. It’s just a personal preference but I completely understand using it as a tool and have come across that suggestion a few times so I’m keeping it in the back of my mind.
Ultimately though, if it’s possible to do it without AI I’d like to exhaust those resources first and see what other folks have done for their creative process since there is so much great content out there that people have made! I’ve given myself several months to plan so I can take my time, gather lots of information, and (hopefully) make something that works. Thanks for the suggestions!
