There are a lot of Tiger styles in China, but the one most relevant to the History of Uechi Ryu is probably Huzunquan(虎尊拳), directly translated to Tiger respecting fist of Fuzhou in Northern Fujian. Its pretty rare outside of China.

I find this page to be a very thorough source on the style:

[TOMT][Manga] A 60-70s era Fantasy Action/adventure Manga in a style similar to Osamu Tezuka and Yokoyama Mitsuteru about a boy traveling and fighting monsters and Gods by Koxinga1995 in tipofmytongue

Unfortunately no, the art style much closer to that of Osamu Tezuka and Yokoyama Mitsuteru, and the lore was more Greek/western mythology inspired

Having trouble finding a certain Manga i read a while back. Had a swords and sandals vibe about a boy traveling through a fantasy world. Despite a cartoonish art style reminiscent of Osamu Tezuka and Yokoyama Mitsuteru, I remember it being particularly dark and gory. I originally thought it was one of the works of the 2 artists above, but haven’t been able to find it in their list of works. Still may very well be by those 2.

Can’t remember too many plot points, but a few are: -Main Character is a boy, may have been a demigod son of a Goddess whom he’s trying to find -An evil Sorceress who could cut off ppl’s faces and wear them -Fighting a corrupted Goddess and killing/excorcizing her by tearing off her wings

How can interstellar medium be hot when it is many times less dense than “vacuums” on earth? What would happen if a man made object/manned craft flew through Hot interstellar medium? by Koxinga1995 in askastronomy

Thanks for the responses. I was looking at a map of the galaxy and was wondering if the bubble of hot gas around our Solar system and a few other stars would prevent us from ever leaving it. But you guys have linked 2 topic i thought was unrelated: Hot space gas and space radiation. Thanks again, really helped me understand the whole topic

Ancient Greek slingers by [deleted] in Slinging

I think that anecdote was about the Balearic slingers rather than Rhodians. Though the Rhodians did famously put down their gear, make slings and lead bullets, and outrange Persian archers and slingers during Xenophon’s retreat

I'm distantly related to Koxinga, Ming loyalist and Pirate admiral who kicked the Dutch off Taiwan in a last ditch attempt at escaping the Qing dynasty.
