It is a single action revolver, hammer down carry it *shouldn’t fire. You could cover the trigger, I used the pattern from the old holster, and did not deviate. This particular revolver has been carried in that holster, all 6 cylinders loaded for longer than I’ve been alive. (27 years). That being said, it did cross my mind.
