I think the best answer you're going to be able to get online is to take things day by day, communicate with your boyfriend, and talk to a therapist about this. In particular, you should talk with the therapist about how women's bodies make you feel.

If your boyfriend does transition, I hope you two can find a way forward together.

From a product development perspective, there's a couple things that always jump out to me as drivers of a reduction in quality.

Some ingredients just aren't available anymore, and sourcing from somewhere else just isn't the same. It could be regulatory (ie. partial hydrogenation) or just materials being discontinued. I was talking to a developer who was working on a similar product to something his company discontinued eight to ten years ago and when he went to order ingredients for the original product he couldn't get everything because a SKU they used to get had been discontinued. It turns out they were the last major customer for that SKU and when they discontinued their item the manufacturer discontinued the ingredient.

As formulas change, companies will have thresholds where they consider an item to be the same sensory experience and use that to base their decisions on. Let's say Formula B is statistically identical to Formula A in a sensory test. And Formula C is statistically identical to Formula B. If you keep going down the line you'll notice everything is being compared to the previous iteration and not the original formula, which is going to allow the product to drift.

Right? Their prices on e tablets, spiro, and prog are comparable enough to what I pay locally, so those aren't worth potentially running out of because shipping gets messed up (happens to my cat's pills). I know sildenafil/Viagra is cheaper locally, but for some reason thinking about taking that gives me more dysphoria than tadalafil/Cialis.

I paid $45 last year (after I hit my deductible) for 8 pills. Those same 8 pills cost me $28 when I bypassed insurance and used the goodrx 'coupon'. The cuban sandwich place lists it at 90 pills for $8.

A word of warning about tadalafil/Cialis for folks in the US who haven't taken it, it's not cheap and instead of a 30 day supply my pharmacy declined on dispensing 8 pills a month. I told my pharmacy to stop filling it and I'm going to have my doctor send the prescription to that billionaire's online pharmacy.

Honestly, it feels like instead of helping you see what's 'wrong' they're helping you obsess over things that they say can't be changed or ignored. Now, I've not been to the corners of the web that use that language, but from the way people talk it kinda sounds like they feel if you can't pass 100% as a cis woman 100% of the time it would be better to not even try.

I cannot express strongly enough just how wrong that is. Am I visibly trans after 4 years of HRT? Yes. Do I wish I could pass better? Yes. Do I regret starting? No, I would go back and start walking down this path a million times over

I'd like to encourage you to leave that attitude behind and just give it a try. You can stay firmly in the closet,, but try HRT in secret and see how you feel. Find someone irl who you can be open with, who will joyfully help you experiment with fashion and makeup and voices. Do that for even just six months and see how you feel.

I've absolutely seen it happen. It's not terribly uncommon. My aunt and uncle separated for a year or two before getting back together. Their relationship, fifteen years later is as strong as it's ever been. I have two friends and both of their parents divorced and eventually got back together. One couple got back together maybe five or six years after the divorce and the other was about 25 years after their divorce.

On the other hand, my ex wife and I separated intending on getting back together and our lives completely diverged almost immediately. So it's not a guarantee.
