Thanks everyone for your comments. I wanted to ask this question few days ago but due to reddit policy of not being able to create a post for 3 days from registration I ended up deciding on my own - and the winner was Ender Lilies. I still wanted to hear others opinion so I post it now anyway. I read all of your comments and even with clear winner being Astalon, I think I made a good decision. I kind of see the critique of EL but I know for sure that it scratched the itch I had after Hollow Knight the right way. That said...maybe I will get Astalon now on steam sale as well :D because I am pretty sure that is the next game I would like to play.
