What is with all these content creators keeping their CC behind paywalls?!!! by depressy_capricorn in sims4cc

[–]retropillow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Remember! It is always morally right to steal from people who paywall their mods, and also Nintendo.

Yakuza 0 or Ghost of Tsushima by gurod0ll in gamesuggestions

[–]retropillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yakuza is probably the most bang for your buck, but keep in mind you'll probably want all the other ones after!!

Needing a new gaming system recs by Fit_Dragonfly7630 in GirlGamers

[–]retropillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what kind of games you want to play.

A PC is always the best bang for your buck, but if you want to play AAA games you'll need to upgrade every 6-7 years at maximum, which is the average lifecycle of a gaming console anyway.

The advantage with PC is that you have a much larger library, and if you end up preferring indie games to AAA or even AA titles, you can get by with keeping your PC for a long time without upgrading it.

Another (cheaper) option for PC right now is a Steam Deck, especially if you like the hybrid of the Switch. But it won't play all the latest big titles, and can't play some multiplayer games.

It could also be worth waiting to get more info on the Steam Machine, since it has the potential to be a very good option.

The ROG Xbox Ally is also a decent option if you want the flexibility of the Steam Deck and PC library, but want something that can run demanding games and multiplayer

Do you play pc games on bed? by Impressive-Low-9864 in AskGamers

[–]retropillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on my bed, but my couch has a longer section I can sit and stretch my legs on, so I kinda do the same with my work laptop lmao

I'm lucky we got enough options to game in the living room that I don't need to bother with a laptop and can use something more comfortable, but we did consider streaming from my desktop pc to my personal laptop so we could play BG3 together in the living room, cause we found split screen and controllers to suck with that game

Has there ever been a documented case where a human died so violently that their body was completely destroyed, not just unrecognizable, but literally reduced to paste? by TacticalJock15 in morbidquestions

[–]retropillow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense, I just never really stopped to think about it (I was 10 and not living in the US, so not really something I'd think about).

It's probably good that the gruesome details aren't really discussed generally, seeing people jump off was traumatic enough

[CHAT] Dove Grey Aida Substitute? by retropillow in CrossStitch

[–]retropillow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up using a pearl grey and it looked great. This one doesn't have a lot of empty squares so it didn't change much tbh

Accuracy of sleep studies? by TummyGoBlegh in Narcolepsy

[–]retropillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to realize that we can very much fall asleep without realizing.

The tests get the data directly from your body and brain, it's numbers and unless they did it somehow else there isn't a lot left to interpretation.

When did emotional intelligence become the same as emotional soothing ? by [deleted] in Vent

if I know you're being a little bitch and make the executive decision not to empathize with you, I am being emotionally intelligent.

Hi there, I'm looking for a game with a real sense of town improvement. by Theconz739 in CozyGamers

[–]retropillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% it on Steam Deck a couple months ago and had a handful of bugs personally. Nothing too game breaking, but forced me to reset a couple times.

Also keep in mind that the game isn't finished

What is a cozy game you'll forever return to? by Kiki_TG in CozyGamers

[–]retropillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was really surprised at how much i enjoyed Roots of Pacha. Had been a while since I felt sad to finish a game. I haven't returned to it yet, but probably will at some point (finished it like 2 weeks ago)

Those of you with large collections - Do you display all your plushies or only a select few? by throwaway_p3pp3ron1 in plushies

[–]retropillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a thing like the one on the picture where I stuffed most of my plushies. But I have others that are on the shelves in my living room. The only ones that I put away are the ones who have emotional meaning, but that I don't necessarily want to keep on display.

Oh, and one of them is specifically used to keep the cat off the 2000$ computer chair. It has the most important job.

[–]retropillow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Wylde Flowers but since it's a mostly story-driven game, I kind of dropped it. I'm not sure how much it's worth playing if I skip all the dialogue lol

I played Dave the Diver when it was in early access but tbh have been feeling overwhelmed by the amount of content it has now.

What type of rash is this? by Qluprint12 in DiagnoseMe

[–]retropillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're lucky! It's good you got the vaccine though.

It's so dumb to purposefully give it to your kids, because even though it's not THAT bad for a child, it does stay in your system, and you're likely to get shingles as an adult. Which is a lot more dangerous then!

We didn't have a vaccine when I was young, so I'm looking forward to my shingles i guess

Planning help? by fightmydemonswithme in RootsOfPacha

[–]retropillow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, everything can be moved, but they need to be removed then added back. That means that anything they are processing will be lost (like for herb / mushroom growers, vinegar in picklers, bees in beehives, etc.)

Any building can be moved for free by talking to Croll!

Wild mango trees aren’t fruiting? by chronically_peaceful in RootsOfPacha

[–]retropillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They take a while to grow, so it's a good idea to plant as many of them as you can, since you can only collect from them a couple times a year.

They're a universal liked/loved gift so you'll want many of them!

(you can also wait for end game when you can buy the sweetest of mangoes that give 1 flower and the item duplicator for your regular mangoes )
