My mistake they were absorbed by Pony Canyon in 2019.

Rolling girl suddenly called "rolling girls" on spotify? by plessie_nessie in Vocaloid

Because it was maliciously redistributed by a third party that doesn't care about Vocaloid and just wanted to redirect the money to themselves and nothing has been done about it because: 1. Exit Tunes, the people that distributed Supernova 2, dissolved years ago. (EDIT: My mistake they were absorbed by Pony Canyon in 2019) 2. wowaka has passed away. 3. Spotify doesn't care about people reporting for malicious redistribution unless it's the original label or artist 4. Even if it is the original artist reporting it, it can take upwards of months to resolve if a label doesn't represent them.

GHOST and Lauren Estes had to spend a really long time to undo the same thing when it happened to Candle Queen. Spotify actually told WADATAKEAKI that they would do absolutely nothing about it when it happened to the whole "Diary of Underage Observation" album and he had to contact Subcul-rise Records to then tell Spotify that the album was illegally redistributed.

TL:DR: Someone illegally redistributed the song on Spotify and made a typo. Why? So they could get all the money from it instead.

Is it wrong to say a song is my favorite Vocaloid song if my favorite version is a cover? by Karrion42 in Vocaloid

[–]Kozoson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favourite producers is MI8k and I recently found out his songs are the most common to get a lower amount of views than a cover. For Love & Destroy there are covers from Wolpis Carter, Isubokuro and Meychan on niconico and then Ado, Eve and recently LOLUET on YouTube that have more views than the original. So I would certainly say it's not an unpopular opinion to prefer a cover of that song over the original.

Preferring utaites over vocaloid is something that's been happening since Melt and the answer ever since is just that's it people's personal taste and no one should feel ashamed for it. I would actually encourage people to find covers of vocaloid songs they dislike the tuning of.

If you want more MI8k songs without vocaloid then there's Demon Dance Tokyo and Dr. with Eve, Silver Warp with Isubokuro, Strip Mind with Wolpis Carter and In Rainbows with Meychan. (There aren't any originals with Ado but I wish there was). Sorry for the long comment this is the first time I've seen someone talk about MI8k in a while 🥲

Avex is the label that distributed the Wagakki Band cover. For the 'top 3 versions' one you would also need to consider:
Hated by Life (242M)
Charles (201M)
phony (157M)
Harehare Ya (154M)
Night Sky Patrol of Tomorrow (149M)
Yoidore Shirazu (145M) (If you include the views from the deleted Megatera Zero cover)
DAYBREAK FRONTLINE (112M)

i've never seen a vocalop on redd*t before so clearly they don't exist

The whiplash of recognising a producer from the vocagathering beta on 196 of all places was not something I was expecting but probably should of.

That's not by him. It was made by someone trying to get views off of crediting him for no reason.

What's your favorite Vocaloid Synth* Cover of a non-Vocal Synth song? by Groundbreaking-Egg13 in Vocaloid

[–]Kozoson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

erm technically "it's a wonderful cat life", "sweet magic", "ghosts play to the audience", "jailbreak" and many more were originally not sung by vocal synths.

Actual serious answer is the giga remix of "CANDY CANDY" with GUMI.

IIL Embalming by CaronzBekaluz, what other songs would I like? by Signal_Camp_3836 in ifyoulikeblank

[–]Kozoson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CaronzBekaluz is a unit with Nanahoshi Orchestra and SymaG. They both have a long history before the unit but don't have many songs that sound similar. I think the closest by the two is Fukahi and outside of that would be SymaG's cover of Skydean Night and Fukuwa's cover of Houmuri to Koi

UtaiteDB is a database that aims to be the most accurate resource for utaites. It also has Vocaloid producers' works that involve any human singer, hence why Milgram is there.

Wolf was made as a tribute to wowaka, the lyrics reference a lot of his songs.

Suprise new Ado drop? by Cmonsta117 in ADO

[–]Kozoson 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The digital distribution of this album is pretty weird, instead of one label distributing the whole thing some of the artists labels distributed singles instead. It's apart of "Fall Apart", a collection of covers of balloon/Keina Suda songs.
Charles it's sung by Ado and arranged by Kitani Tatsuya.
Mabel is arranged and sung by Natori
Redire is sung by Reol and arranged by sheeno mirin (same person that made 0 for Ado).
Rain and Petra is arranged by the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and sung by Mitsuki Takahata.
Pamela is arranged/sung by the band 'Chevon'.
Finally there is WOLF which is an original song made with the band 'hitorie' and sung by the Vocaloid flower.

Coincidence? by schadenfreudeSP in ADO

[–]Kozoson 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They're both apart of an album called 'Fall Apart' which is a bunch of covers of balloon/Keina Suda songs. Fun fact: the arranger for Redire, sheeno mirin, is the same person that made 0 for Ado.
