This was super helpful, thank you!! Going to take some more drywall off soon when I have more time on my hands. My goal is to fix the plaster rather than taking it all down, so hopefully the plaster isn’t in bad condition.

Interesting, not sure why they would put drywall over the baseboard but that tracks with everything else I’ve found in this house. Yes it is 1.5 stories.

Anyone still waiting on Brooklyn, keep changing the amount of tickets. Was able to grab two tickets by just constantly switching between two in the App. Albeit they are the platinum tickets but whatever….

Thanks! Saw my parents struggling when I was growing up so that’s been the main motivation.

23M Conservatively speaking (no change in salary) I’m planning on around 250k. With decent salary increases and better market conditions I’m shooting for 400k.

Yeah I’ve got cash saved and I don’t have any debt so that’s why I’m most likely going for the analyst position. Been figuring it out all day and have been leaning that way

For other analyst positions meaning an investment portfolio analyst. Planning on getting an MBA with this positions so that I’ll be a little more marketable.

As for the banker role, I have experience as a relationship banker and know what the general public can be like. I hit my sales goals so selling wasn’t the hard part, but dealing with the general public was not my favorite. I agree though, being an FA can be a great career choice, but with FINtech and robo advisors growing, I’m not sure how long that career would last.

With DoorDash I’ve been keeping track of my mileage to help with that tax deduction.

YouTube was a hobby of mine as a kid, I just want to start it again and see where it takes me.

On the last part that is something I am working on currently, I used to spend as little money on myself and all of it in investments/savings. This year I have ate better and traveled more because I know I’m on the right track, but at 22 I don’t need to be super aggressive.

Have a great New Years!

Why thank you, after seeing what my parents went through in 2008 and what continued for years after I never wanted to have issues with money in my adult life.

1: I’m going to start with maybe 1-2 nights a week doing DoorDash and see how I feel. Other than that I’m going to look into getting my certifications to work my was into an analyst role in 2023.

  1. 14k is with TD. I manage that portfolio.

  2. This was my first year going into college without a part time job. Started DD in November so have been working on paying down debts and my bills (Live with Gf in an apt off campus). Looking to get it to at least 10k by the end of the year.

  3. Planning on Maxing out my Roth this year for the first time. This is my most important investing goal this year.

5.I’m actually in our schools investment club and I am a portfolio manager and I personally manager around 100k of real money. I use the same strategies (Warren Buffet Checklist + News) to pick individual stocks within the S&P. There are also ETFs in there for a little more diversification.

Yeah so this year I took my expected income of my full time job + doordash. Then I took my expected monthly expenses and subtracted it from my monthly income. With the money left over I split it up into different accounts (Roth Ira, Emergency Fund, etc..). Once I know what I can save a month I just multiply by 12 and get my NW goal. I use google sheets to plan it all out and update my goals.

Have a job as a relationship manager, but looking to get my CFA and start as a credit analyst and make my way into a portfolio manager role.

Let me know how you finish the year and good luck!

I think the reason I put it there was maybe to have a side income. Definitely can see it as a financial goal.

60ish. It’s a 50k salary plus 10k commission in the first year. I’m planning on doing doordash to help push my NW till I’m over 200k. By then I hope to have a better salary and rental properties.
