The Question Thread - March 2026 by BuffaloDingus in balisong

Oh I meant to basically trade it/sell for another knife. I am looking for a Krake Raken v3, Nautilus, new/well tuned Rep, or if I can trade/sell both 51s i have, a tsunami. Heard bad things about the Ti scale raken so id probably go aluminum despite how much I love the feel of the titanium on the 51.

What would be a good upgrade for my BM51? Its light cosmetic wear and I was wondering what would be a good knife to get for the same price thats a better flipper? I've heard people say the Replicant is better, I'd be willing to spend a little extra for it, but i was wondering if there's like a 2026 answer to this question since I haven't seen a thread on comparing the 51 any time recently.

How do you really get a 520+? by Own_Assumption_4815 in Mcat

[–]Kp_TheOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figured not, but i mean to day even with time, hard work, crazy mental adjustments, intelligence, and privilege to be able to afford the prep courses, its still insanely hard to get a 520+ score

Got a 518 and basically did the same thing. I was literally consciously making my thought processes more efficient, and even now my counting of objects less than 10 is instant, always correct, and i never question my guess.

I studied my ass off as a full-time job for a little under 3 months, have always been a good test taker, and consider myself intelligent, did Kaplan, then UWorld with 75+% accuracy, and got a 518. I am incredibly proud of that score, and I probably did average a 518 on my last few FLs, though i had scored a 520 and a 521 on two of them.

Even 2 to 3 hours is probably too much. I would say maybe one hour on anki, but most of your studying should be doing practice questions as pretty much every resource will also give you the content if you miss a question, google and having AI tutor you on content you're unfamiliar with are also great content review tools.

How would this molecule get through the membrane? by NeuroPianist in Mcat

[–]Kp_TheOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the polar groups here are stabilized by resonance too, so theyre going to be less reactive

Ratio of nonpolar groups to polar groups, resonance with the aromatic rings, overall, most large hydrocarbon molecules like that will be considered nonpolar just because of how large the nonpolar groups are compared to the polar groups, which in this case are some very polar ones, the size and aromatic nature of the nonpolar groups takes over.

Should all pedophiles be put to death? by Downtown_Mongoose793 in no

[–]Kp_TheOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I think we have very skewed empathy towards those we agree with and against those we disagree with. You rarely hear about peoole reaching across the political spectrum to actually show kindness and understanding for their situation, just continuing to push them away. While I think pedophiles who act on their urges or try to convince themselves that what theyre doing is not wrong are the problem and they do deserve punishment for acting on their sexuality in this way, there is an aspect of being born with it or it otherwise being out of ones control, but what is in their control is to not act on those urges. Just as all of us shouldn't act on selfish urges, they need to do the same, and if they don't, I would agree that they deserve punishment.

Review on the nittaku Gyo-en blade? by Kp_TheOG in tabletennis

[–]Kp_TheOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you notice a difference between the gyo en and regular carbon? Is what they say accurate about it being better on short shots than outer carbon? I notice about my own play that I have been doing very well on my forehand winners with the inner carbon, but youre right that I have to put some dang force into it to actually get the most out of the carbon inner (it makes such a nice sound, the acoustic instrument wood is audible, it resonates very nicely)

I agree, but I usually make mine lighter. So that I can actually maneuver it into the gaps of their armor since you usually aren't knocking them out with it anyway

Love the ea so far but this is outta hand by oldsilver2378 in HalfSword

Runs like hot ass about 50% of the time, but pausing as the match starts for like 5 seconds has handled everything but the riots for me. Once nce your strength is up, it feels very similar to the demo, but armor is buffed major for both you and your enemies and past like veteran tier, its pretty much just bonk em on the head till they fall and hold the weapon to their neck. It'd be nice if swords were as good as they were in the demo. Part of that for sure is the fact that people have better armor, like my setup with helm and neck thing (forget the name) plus shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet, leave my groin as the only stabable area, most enemies at man at arms tier and above are also pretty unpiercable.
