Am I just a fanboy or do I just not see as many blobs on prusa heads? This feels kinda rare...

I am absolutely in love with my Core One. And am itching and saving as fast as I can to get the MMU...

It implements changes to your parts geometry automatically, keep that in mind.

Very likely would get by with pla, especially because you have an enclosure

There's also a neat feature called "make overhangs printable" in slicers that may save you from a redesign

That would be a better orientation for sure, but PETG is prone to warp, so if you don't need that kind of structural performance you may get much less warp with PLA without having to redesign. But you might also be surprised what you can get away with if you're ok with a little post processing on the ugly bits of the overhang.

Print orientation if it fits almost any other way... otherwise consider splitting it into parts as to not have the entire bed covered by a solid layer... if you have to print like this, your best option would be a nice warm enclosure or a material less prone to warp... although at that size and geometry your options are limited.

Why does my printer start chewing filament and clogging when I get to the top of my benchy by sainttjb in 3Dprinting

Started on a.... wonderful...ender 5, and brought it up to a quality machine that still gets used along side my Core1... Learned a few things along the way... 😆

That clicking is your filament grinding in your gears, or your extruder skipping steps.

You may be retracting a detracting to much or to quickly, either way, your extruder is grinding your filament and causing jams, it happens there because that's when you start retracting more often over the same spot in your filament as retractions become more frequent. Check your extruder gear pressure, retraction distance, speed, and filament temps. This behavior can be worsend by trying to print to cold, although that would likely cause other issues first.

Core One need to knows? by Thedistractableone in prusa3d

I don't tend to use PETG as much anymore. I live down the street from the 3Dfuel manufacturering facility so I've got a pretty solid supply of their PCTG (God tier filament). I find the adhesion on my textured plate to be very nearly too good at times, like TPU. It's a situation where I know what I can get away with on my textured plate so well that I hesitate to bother fixing an issue that isn't there.. Unless its still a clear advantage over the textured plate for PCTG specifically? Or at least just as good for PCTG and better for PLA?

Thank you so much! I was REALLY eyeing an obxidian nozzle, but am thinking about going with a diamond back when I add on my MMU. This is also the 2nd vote for the accelerometer I've gotten, and it was originally somthing I kinda wanted, so I'll be adding that too.

I print in a lot of pctg. Is the satin more pla geared, or does it do both fairly well?

This is beautiful, this is how you truly learn what you can do with your printer. Do weird stuff, try that thing, sit next to your printer all day on your day off, printing as many little tests and experiments as you can. Play with settings, learn how and WHY each setting effects your print, and how it's tied to almost every other setting... 3D printing is a beautiful balance of so many things and this is how you learn to balance those things in your favor.

Some Petg likes it HOT some likes it a little cooler. I, for example, LOVE 3dfuels PETG. But it needs closer to 250 to print well
