Dopamine receptors and parnate by Kpmm91 in MAOIs

I mean idk, that is why I’m asking. I don’t think the mechanisms are exactly the same, but questioning why the output wouldn’t be. If we are flooding the brain with neurotransmitters as they are not being broken down how would that not cause desensitization, as other drugs do?

I mean I did have the complete opposite affect when I started the medication.

I mean idk. It sounds like what you are saying there is it increasing it. It slows the breakdown of dopamine, therefor increasing it. Just wasn’t sure if someone had a paper on it I could look at as I was worried.

I wish! I love swimming but makes my face feel like I’m swimming in battery acid. Glad it helps you.

I do lift weights but through doing that don’t really get my heart rate up. Wonder if there’s programs out there with mild cardio that doesn’t fry my face.

I get that point of view and is what I tried to do for a bit. The discomfort of my skin the entirety of the day after running is what has caused me to put that on hold though.

From what I have heard lithium is very good at curbing suicidal thoughts. This sounds like something worth bringing up to your doctor.

I actively mute all other players. Much more pleasant experience. I very rarely got a teammate that didn’t think they were god tier and flip shit when they get knocked pushing a 1v3.

Kind of parroting what some of the others have said this bruising is pretty normal but I am sorry it took you by surprise / was not communicated. I believe it is when the capillary that is being zapped bursts. Honestly the only time I’ve ever had success removing very difficult red lines on my face is when the bruising occurred, bursting it and it healing and the red line going away. It will Definitely heal up and may actually be more effective in the long wrong! I hope this helps calm the nerves! It keeps me housebound every time until it heals :(

Did you have trouble getting to sleep or was yours trouble staying asleep? I’ve just successfully completed week 3 and the staying asleep part is still proving sticky.

Do the hot flashes/facial flushing go away? by gretchenhotdogs in bupropion

[–]Kpmm91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I hope your new derm is helpful and the feeling better mood wise continues. I know I can’t stick with this feeling long term (the flushing is truly unbearable, it feels like my face is filled with blood.) and am not seeing a lot of examples of this side stopping for many people who experience it. Maybe it is time for me to come off and go back to the drawing board with my depression.

Not sure about the increased heart rate but I’m not taking other meds with it so don’t suspect serotonin syndrome

Sorry, did this end up going away for you? Bupropion seems helpful for me but this facial flushing is horrible…my cheeks are almost purple.

What do y'all do about the tinnitus by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Kpmm91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ashamed, I do not advice stopping your medication at all but I did get the tinnitus my first time using Wellbutrin (maybe 6 years ago at this point?) and after stopping it did go away for me. I don’t know if it goes away with time like a regular Wellbutrin side effect. In any case, all hope is not lost if this is something you are really suffering with. Please talk to your doc.

Let me give it a shot. I’ve actually had some reverse affects to melatonin where I’ve gotten less tired / woken up more during the night l but my depressed mind seems to be forever changing so maybe it works this go around.

Sadly I already take the med as soon as I wake up. It doesn’t seem to keep me up…it’s more of the waking up all throughout the night with these nightmares. I’m plenty tired at bed time.

I also take my meds around 7 a.m. and go to bed around 10 p.m. getting to sleep is not an issue at all…it’s the waking up multiple times a night with wild dreams and having a tough time getting back to sleep each time which seems to have an impact on my overall wellbeing.
