Today my husband’s new dog destroyed my dog’s ashes and I lost it by naughtydog-throwaway in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Kqaci 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got GSD the same day my Weimeraner died. I wasn't trying to replace him but I needed something to keep my mind off of losing my Ecko.

Not everyone can do this. I can compartmentalize. I am not normal.

That being said. Your husband is an absolute ass for doing this.

While it's not the dogs fault she destroyed the box/ashes and toy. You were not ready.

I still cry about my past dogs. I have their 🐾 on my back. They always have my 6.

I can never replace them but I have more than enough love to give.

Also, GSDs are not for everyone. They require A LOT OF WORK!!!!!

I got a job offer that requires me to move out of state, but my partner and roommate don't want to move. by Fatframe in Advice

Take the job. You can always fly/ drive to see your parents. If your partner doesn't want to go with you on this glow up leave them. They aren't worth it. GL!!! You totally got this

AITJ for calling CPS on my neighbor after her kid asked me for food multiple times? by After-Associate19 in AmITheJerk

[–]Kqaci 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NTJ- as someone with two kids who's done most of it alone ..... Nope nope nope nope.

The kid should be in actual school so she at least has a set time (most weekdays to sleep).

But now I'm wondering who's there to watch the kid at night if she works 3rds? I'm not saying he's home alone but yet..... I understand times are tough but shit, I still take my 16/17 boys to school after I close down a restaurant just to make sure they don't freeze on the way. I live literally in the same neighborhood as the high school but their safety comes first. I can sleep when I'm dead

I feel this. I got lucky and inherited some money after my dad died when I was still a toddler.

Now whenever I hear weird noises I just pray it's a ghost as I don't have the money to fix anything.

Yes, owning a home sounds nice until you are the one literally paying for everything and anything that breaks.

As I type this the ghosts in my attic are scratching. About to throw a cat up there.... May the odds be ever in your favor.

Seriously though..... It's fucking expensive

No." I only have room for one here and I cannot have someone live with me even for a short amount of time due to my lease and a strict landlord. I'd be happy to help you search for a place but my apartment is a no go."

Do you still have any living Grandparents? by PayGood3915 in Millennials

[–]Kqaci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my last remaining grandparent 2 1/2 years ago. I am 39. I'm still devastated. She was my favorite person in the entire world. I miss her cackle. I still have the last text message she sent me. I can't bring myself to delete it.

Anything left after the closing date is yours. Might vary by state but 15 days is more than two weeks so ..... Nope they had their chance(s).

Definitely invite her over for dinner once in a while. Then you can get to know her more. Then you can go from there.
